Would this be much better than the telstra gateway max?

I have had the VR200v for over 2 years and it has been rock solid. I would have no hesitation buying this slightly better model, especially at this price.

The gateway is a solid device it would be in a simile ballpark

$43.68 @ Dick Smith eBay w free shipping if you don't have Kogan First

Paid $120 3 months. But did get 3 months NBN 50 free since Kogan messed up their modem delivery. So free modem. It's a really really good modem and easy to set up as well. Great app as well.

    This is a reliable router
However it doesn't have good wireless range
And the two WiFi antennas are not removable

Don't expect great speeds More than 3 metres away on wireless. Excellent otherwise

Good price, but next to none of my devices will take advantage of the wifi bandwidth

Sorry if this is a silly question, will this work for NBN?

Looked it up on Centrecom's website:

NBN - Fibre to the Node (FTTN) - DSL Modem Router Mode.
NBN - Fibre to the Building (FTTB) - DSL Modem Router Mode.
NBN - Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) - Wireless Router Mode.
NBN - Fibre to the Home (FTTH) - Wireless Router Mode.
NBN - Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) - Wireless Router Mode.
For further information on NBN connections please visit: //www.nbnco.com.au/learn-about-the-nbn/network-technology.html

      Should be fine.

How would this compare to the Technicolor TG789vac v2?
    Same wifi hub from Myrepublic.

You get this router free with Kogan NBN. Not sure if it's just my router but the speeds I get have been inconsistent, sometimes I get solid 95mbps on the 5Ghz band and sometimes it just drops off the 5Ghz band and only lets me connect to 2.4Ghz. Really really annoying! Was looking to get a Nest Wifi set up but realised that those don't have 802.11ax. Why Google!

Deal expired on Kogan and Dick Smith, prices now $139 + delivery and $166 + delivery.

How does the TP Archer compare to other VDSL modems? Any others you guys would recommend? I usually go Linksys as I figure Cisco must know best lol, but recently my WRT1900ACS has been playing up (router only, no modem) so not sure what I should get for an NBN router.

Could you buy a few of these and use them as Wi-Fi extenders?
