Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO Black 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 $189 (Free C&C or +Delivery) @ Scorptec

170

There seems to be a sale on the popular Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (2x16GB) 3200Mhz CL16 RAM (CMW32GX4M2E3200C16) with a few PC shops offering it for $189 C&C (or add shipping). Scorptec offer this for pick up in a few of their locations and you may be eligible for a Shopback 0.7%.

Whilst I already ordered from UMart which had 1% Cashrewards, given the historical popularity of this set (including one of my past deals from Amazon), I wanted to share another store selling it for $189 in case buyer have a preference.

Same deal available at Mwave and UMart

For those interested in other stores offering the same headline price (before shipping and cashbacks):
Mwave
UMart

Props to nikym81 for being the first to post the Mwave deal!

EDIT If you are looking for the CMW32GX4M2C3200C16 with 16-18-18-36 timing, it's quite a bit more expensive but there is a deal on Amazon

  • 16-20-20-38….WOW

    • Is…is that 'WOW it sucks' or 'WOW it's good'

      • It's actually a bad timing but for the price…. couldn't complain too much

Man I paid $280 for this like a month ago and it wasn't a bad price.
Normally not phased but $100 cheaper is a kick in the nuts.

If you're buying this RAM to go in an AMD system - MAKE SURE YOU CHECK your motherboard manufacturer's qualified memory compatibility list.

eg: I have an ASUS Prime X570-P motherboard which does NOT support this model RAM, but does support the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x 16GB RAM kit - model CMW32GX4M2Z3200C16

Just remember those lists are not necessarily what it does not support but rather what has been tested as compatible.

That being said, I checked even my MSI board doesn't include it in the compatibility list but instead it lists the slightly tighter timing (from the Amazon deals) with CMW32GX4M2C3200C16 rather than this deal's CMW32GX4M2E3200C16. Fingers crossed it'll play nicely.

      • best of luck mate.. I figured I'd go with the known working as this is the first time I've built an AMD system in probably 20 years - also for the price (about $1400 total) of all the components I bougth I didn't want to be faffing about trying to fault diagnose a potential RAM issue.

my aim is to buy a second set of the same SKU next year and then have 4x 16GB RAM - for longevity and also productivity with 4K video editing.

then the year after that I'll replace my RTX 2060 GPU with a similar low-high end GPU.

        • I ended up returning the UMart purchase of the "E" series and bought the "C" series from Amazon. UMart agreed to refund me by EFT straight away which was nice.

As for matching RAM, some will tell you to buy a 4x16gb set upfront and there's some articles online about the importance of a matched set, but I think it should be fine. I've done exactly what you've described and bought a second of the "C" set from Amazon (my first set was from there too) so I'll have a total of 2x 2x16gb = 64gb.
