$20 Cashback with $100 Spend with a Citibank Credit Card @ Kogan

680

To be eligible to receive $20 cashback you must spend $100 or more in one transaction on kogan.com by 28 December 2019.

Just received this promotion SMS and email for my Citibank Signature Credit Card.
Email contains last 4 digits of my card number, so possibly targeted?
Can't find any further information on it anywhere else, but will update this post as I find out more.

Is that just credit card or are debit cards eligible?

    • You will get an email stating the last 4 digits of your Citi credit card. Got it for my Signature CC

    • i'm guessing it is targeted so if you have the text then you will know.

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel dirty after reading stuff like this?

  • Would have been awesome to stack with the Switch deal but they've sold out :(

  • I got the email and sms

  • Nothing for me, am i meant to opt-in on marketing promotions?

    • +1

Yes - generally, banks can't contact you re: promotions without your consent.

  • I got this in October, but no dice now. Looks targeted

    • Did u end up getting it?

  • Is this include kogan prepaid mobile plan? Anyone know?

    • I would love to know this as well as my plan expiring in 2 weeks.

  • I just got an email and SMS from them for this. Not bad. Now, what to buy…

Got email and SMS then realised it was for Kogan 🤮lol

    • Same, lol

  • Do you need to register your card at kogan under My Account>Card Rewards?

  • Anything worthwhile buying from Kogan lol

  • Can we buy Kogan eGift card to trigger the credit?

Just used this to buy 2 x $50 gift cards. Planning to stack this with the other Kogan black card $500 deal when it comes through.

No notifications/triggers so far, and the merchant comes up as "Incomm Kogan Melbourne", which I presume is the same as when purchasing other products on Kogan.com. T&Cs say nothing about egiftcards being excluded, so hopefully the cashback works for egiftcards. Will keep those interested posted!

    • Was looking to buy gift cards too but looks like they have put a 10% discount on the cards. Have to buy $150 worth of cards now which is not great value.

One of the times when you actually want prices to go back up!

It's not too bad actually, with that 10% extra you and the original citi discount you would pay $115 for $150, around 23% discount which is better than $20 off $100 spend. I just pulled the trigger.

Please keep us posted, ozhxb! I am interested in doing the same, but using the gift cards for the mobile plan instead.

    • Ozhxb, Any news on the rebate on the kogan giftcard purchase?

      • +1

Transaction is still pending, and nothing triggered yet. I think this might take a while, as the T/Cs do state "Cashback will be credited to your Account within 10 weeks from the qualifying purchase".

Will post back once I get something (or not). :)

        • Thanks,

    • Hey, I did a bit of googling and it seems Incomm is associated just with gift cards, so it’s possible this will not trigger the same as a normal purchase

I am keen to find out though as I missed the Citibank deal but got a similar one about to expire on Commbank

  • Anyone received their credit/cashback yet? Purchased on the 17th of December and not yet received the $20…
