    Specification on Huawei's website. Not sure how well it would run Android 2.3 with only 256MB of memory.

    Currently running the higher spec X5 (800Mhz, 512MB memory) on Android 2.2 and it's noticeably laggy at times.

    Less power on 2.3 would be painful.

    Does 2.3 really require any higher specs than 2.1/2.2? I would have thought it may even be faster due to refinement/optimisation of the code. (Although with 600mhz/256mb ram I'd expect some lag on any android 2.x version)

      depends on what you're running, everyone always looks at the cpu speed but forget the gpu which can cause a lot of lag, some of the cheaper tablets with a 1ghz cpu struggle with 720p playback, then you have something like the witstech a81, a8 cortex cpu@600mhz but good gpu so plays 720p fine, 1080p in slow motion, although at 8000kbps the memory card speed might have had something to do with that
