  • Gosh all those fluff and it's still more expensive then buying them separately from your previous posts: $15 + $19.50 = $34.50

    • Relax mate, in our previous deals delivery fees were involved. This deal is cheaper and beneficial to the customers.

      • +1

in our previous deals delivery fees were involved

        Hmm.. let's see..

$15 was supposedly 30% off, which makes it $21.43 at full price.
$19.50 was supposedly 30% off, which makes it $27.86 at full price.
Total for both at full price = $49.29

This current deal is $39.98 at a supposedly 32% discount, which makes it $58.79 before discount.

$58.79 - $49.29 = $9.50 extra that you built into the price that more than makes up for shipping.

Also Amazon's non-prime-shipping-for-under-$39-spend starts at $4.99 and up. Again, where is the savings you claimed?

        • As you kindly mentioned, Amazon's shipping fees start at $4.99 (to ParcelPoint Pickup Locations) and ends with $12.99 (Same Day at Home delivery). I guess this is where a major part of the savings is coming from. This deal is designed to run for only 5 days and apparently designed for those who don't have a Prime subscription yet.
We have heaps of new deals coming up this year, such as buy 2, get 1 free; buy 1, get 50% off on a second item. But I don't really see the point of comparing the current deals we run with future or previous deals. There could be heaps of many reasons as to why one deal might be better than another, base on individual customer's needs, etc.
But just in case if you regretfully missed one of our old deals, just simply say so and we might be able to accommodate your needs :)

Only the $4.99 and $5.99 shipping methods are free for Prime members. Same Day is not so it's a moot point referencing it.

this is where a major part of the savings is coming from

So at most non-prime members are saving $4.99 to $5.99, however, because you raised your pre-discounted price by $9.50, it wipes out any so called savings. Previously $34.50 + $4.99 or $5.99 shipping. Now $39.98 with free shipping. Meh.

            • @m9:

Same Day is not so it's a moot point referencing it.

I'm sure there are customers who will have many reasons to use Amazon's Same Day delivery (without having Prime yet). What's your basis to exclude this segment off your charts?

because you raised your pre-discounted price
This deal is for a bundle of 2 products. Our old deal (which you're obviously really like) is for separate single products.
It makes very little sense to compare these two deals. We run multiple deals on different platforms in different countries. One is always better than the other, depending on the circumstances of a particular individual. :)

My personal opinion, that this deal is definitely better during the holiday season than the old deals, you referring to, simply because if you want to keep one of the product for yourself, you could consider giving the second one as a present.
I'm sure we'll have separate product deals again in the future, so stay tuned!

              • @comensart:

What's your basis to exclude this segment off your charts?

You said this deal is cheaper and beneficial to customers because shipping is free, compared with previous deals where shipping was extra.

And then you went on saying the major savings on this deal is coming from the shipping component which ranges from $4.99 to $12.99.

In case you did not know, with or without Prime membership, Same Day shipping is NOT free. Prime members pay $9.99, non-Prime pays $12.99. So how can you claim this to be part of the savings if we actually need to pay for it?

Hence when you say free shipping, the only major savings is the $4.99 or $5.99 shipping which non-Prime members need to pay, and which are free to Prime members. Everything else is moot. And again, because you raised your pre-discounted price by $9.50, it wipes out any so called savings. Previously $34.50 + $4.99 or $5.99 shipping. Now $39.98 with free shipping.

                • @m9: Well, there's a lot of marketing techniques out there to keep business running and this is not the best place to discuss it here. We've had and hundreds of products on a steep 75-90% discount during the product launch and still have on different platforms and markets. As well as running 5-10 % discounts most of the time.
Anyway, you can't worry too much about those things. The way we see it is an upside because the message we're sending out is: Grabs yourself a bundle of 2 products Delivered! I totally agree it's more beneficial for those with no Prime account.
By the way, New Prime customers can get $10 credit if sign up with Amazon mobile app during Black Friday and place an order from the app
We've had a few sales overnight, and the customers were using the Ozbargain coupon code so it's easy to track. This is the real data and it works, everything else is moot. :)
And rather than comparing apples with pears grab your self a deal, otherwise, you might miss it again and get disappointed later on, compare it with forthcoming Christmas deal, which again might be structured completely different to the current and all our previous deals.

                  • @comensart:

there's a lot of marketing techniques out there

It's not marketing if you claim the savings are in shipping which costs $4.99 up to $12.99, when in fact it's only free up to the $5.99 method. This is a false claim since we're not getting the $12.99 shipping option free so where's the savings?

The way we see it.. I totally agree it's more beneficial for those with no Prime account.

The way OzBargainers/non-Prime members see it: $34.50 + $4.99 shipping vs. $39.98 with free shipping = No difference/benefits of your so called Black Friday sale but just spam.

                    • @m9: Not sure how else I could explain to you, that the existing offer is better than expired. The $34.50 previous offer you keep mentioning is totally irrelevant to this thread.

The savings are a 32 % off discount off the full price on Amazon.

If you can't see any difference or benefits for you in this deal you either have to wait until a better deal advertised or stop spamming in this thread about anything other than the current deal.

However, if you really miss that old deal back in September, and want it back please message us privately and we'll notify you directly once something similar becomes available again.
