  • Shipping?

    • Shipping is calculated after you place the order, so you don't know how much you have to pay (I just tried)… dodgy

      But pickup is also available.

They only take Bank Deposit or Cash on Pickup as well.

        Hi Andolee,

The "dodgy" comment is not nice :( just to explain the shipping being calculated later, we have only recently changed from a basic HTML website to the new website which allows an online shopping cart. We now have the fun job of uploading over 3000 items weights and dimensions so the website can auto calculate the delivery, right now we are approximately half way through this job so until all items have dimensions and weight uploaded delivery is calculated manually by our staff after you order. Just hang in there though as this small issue should be fixed in the next few weeks. I hope you understand where we're coming from but it is a massive job which we're slowly getting through.

I think the 'dodgy' comment is fair. It is dodgy.
On the whole, people don't really care why you don't have simple things on your site like shipping costs, infact I don't really care about your explanation - it's just not what I'd expect from an online shop.

IMHO, you should pay a 15 yo geek the $8 an hour it's worth to sit in front of a computer all night & type them in, because I wouldn't buy anything on your site til I knew how much shipping was. Just not worth the effort of ordering & then cancelling later if I don't like the price.

        • The reason I say it is dodgy is that you could easily charge outrageous prices for shipping.

A bit like COTD's "$0.00, just pay shipping" thing, it could be a scam to get more money by offloading some of the price into the shipping.

Like seanb said, I could not be bothered to order & cancel just to find out the shipping.

        • I guess everyone has a different definition of "dodgy". I know LFO meet all the requisites for dodgyness after hearing some horror stories about their warranty service.

    • That's why want to ask them their shipping :p

      • I wasn't replying to you. I spent the extra 27 seconds it took for me to post to get that link :P

        • :p

I thought you quoted me :p

        • We can have these speakers shipped anywhere in Sydney metro for $4 to match the price of Logitech Shop. To have these speakers shipped to Perth will cost you $15 so if you're anywhere else delivery will cost you from $4-$15 just to give you an idea.

    • Hmm… Would be tough to beat $4 shipping on an item that size.

      • Yeah unless u can pick up to save $4 from logitechshop.com.au

    • OK, well, no response from LFO.

I'm marking negative largely because it's not listed as a pickup only deal. I'm assuming their shipping's more expensive than the logitechshop deal. If it's changed to include something like "Pick-Up Sydney NSW" in the title I'll happily revoke the neg.

      • Neg removed as title was changed.

      • Hi Tantryl,

Fair point with the delivery. Title modified as suggested, working in a busy retail showroom sometimes the finer details of online posts can be overlooked! I hope the new title is okay.

  • How would these compare to the x-530's?

    • Compared to the X-530's these would not be as impressive, the sheer volume of a 5.1 system vs 2.1 system is a big difference.. How ever, with the extra speakers comes an extra cost! For a $29 set of speakers I doubt you will be able to find much better!

      • For a $29 set of speakers I doubt you will be able to find much better!

I would agree with that. I had a set & they sounded very nice for the money! Of course you can spend more & get better, but for under thirty bills I don't reckon there's much competition! ;)

      • Woops, meant to say the x-230's, they're a 2.1 system as well but I was wondering if this system is newer/has better sound.

  • these speakers are pretty standard, i don't like them much because you cannot adjust the bass

  • Officeworks have these for 29 as well. Just came back and saw them there.
