bargainvt20

The Panasonic TH-P50VT20 has been superseded by the TH-P50VT30 which we currently have listed for $2699. This is not to be compared with the Th-P50ST30 which is now Panasonic entry level TV.

Coupon entitles buyer to $100 discount off the already great price of $1599, making the final price $1499 + shipping.

Items are new and sealed in box and come with full factory warranty, one set of Panasonic 3D glasses.

Please note we will NOT accept amex with this coupon, but final pricing includes mastercard/visa and costs $55 shipping to any metro area in AU (store pick up is free from shipping but you need to order using the coupon to get the price).

Mate, the telly is great, but exactly as you said, it is a superseded model.

5 months ago, JB Hifi cleared these out for $1346: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/41021

3 months ago, 2nds World cleared these out for $950: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/45650

If you're not following the downward price trend then you ain't doin' in right!

Now before you say 2nds Worlds stock were factory seconds, I say yes true, but on other forums users reported that was simply minor box damage, the units inside were otherwise brand new.

Having said that, as you are offering officially "brand new" stock I don't expect it to be below $950, but certainly close to that price, and it definitely should be less than $1346.

For the reasons above, not a deal for me.

While it's a good price for this TV if it was 2010, and YES, the ST30 is considered an "entry level panel", neither argument hold much water considering the ST30 is arguably a better TV at the same price, and that as the above poster said, it's not such a good price now, 6 months after them being cleared.

    • ST30 better ? Find that hard to believe.

  • oh no it is like 6 months old…..it is such old tech and won't work!!! bah!

This is a fantastic screen! You can't compare it to an entry level screen, even if it is newer
(but the price is not the best…however I bought the model lower for $500 when it came out haha)

  • We confirm the stock is brand new, sealed, and not factory seconds in any way shape or form.

We are not the same size as JB hifi who can sometimes afford to liquidate stock at below cost as does happen in the market place from time to time, so we acknowledge perhaps there was a better bargain at some time.

That said, we do have stock and they do not, as this panels reputation does precede it we think this is a good offer for those considering the VT30 presently.

With the difference in price you could purchase a HTPC (eg mac mini), or 4 popcorn hour media players if you wanted to make up for the lack of wifi and mkv playback, which would far exceed the smart aspects of the VT30

You may well think it's a good deal but it's not Oz bargain worthy.

I got it cheaper than this price before Christmas when Panasonic was running the free home theatre bundle promotion. No deal.

  • Rip off price. Why would you want to pay so much more than what the tv sold for recently? Thank you CCRAP for documenting how bad this deal is.

Please do not compare prices with deals that are no longer available. The deal should be compared with whats available now. Nice to know some of you got great bargains 6 months ago, but for those wanting a 3D TV now, we would like to compare with whats available now.

ccrap, puts the information to us so we can decide. Others just neg the deal without adding any more info. Negging deals are not for popularity contests. Please read our guidelines on voting.

That said, excuses like we are not as big as JB dont cut it here. Its a bargain site, not general advertising site. Pick your market to promote to and understand the market. If you offer a bargain, you'll get good responses.

Not the first time this supplier has been caught out trying to dump old stock at high prices:
