      Price in post!

  • What’s the best price you can find?

    • $568. Could price match at JB.

      • Do they price match preorders?

        • It's happened b4 but no guarantee.

I was offered $569 at the DJI store at Melbourne Central, Victoria. They had available stock, this was during the week.

  • Wish one of the more mainstream sellers would do a good deal.

Got the fly more combo from HN for $719 3 weeks ago. Normal one was $539. If you got the patience just wait a little, something will come up.

      • yeah thats what i will do. $719 is exactly what i want to pay :)
not because i think its worth that but because its cheaper than the normal price hehe

  • How does this compare to a spark?

    • +1

I never flew the spark but in terms of key differences. Much better battery life, up to 30 minutes. Has 2.7k camera as opposed to 1080p. 3 axis gimbal as opposed to 2 and much lighter at 249 grams which means not registering it when the new laws come into place.

Also, no obstacle sensors, hand gesture control or "follow me" mode.

        • The downsides! Forgot about them, good work!

      • And apparently you need a high spec'd phone or tablet to run the new "DJI Fly" app, compared to the "DJI GO 4" app which will run on pretty much anything.

        • I have not heard about that. It supports Android 6 and up so I can't imagine many people having too many issues.

          Some light reading;

            • @aldroid: Wow, that sucks. Maybe it was just a teething thing. Ive got a OP7 Pro with 12GB RAM and I've also used it on my iPad Pro 10.5 inch which is a few years old now without issue. Seems so weird as it's basically the same as the DJI Go app but stripped down. It does have a nice inbuilt editor which I can't remember if the DJI Go app had, maybe that's why.

              • @[Deactivated]: Yeah, DJI GO 4 has the inbuilt editor too. I take it you own the Mavic Mini? How have you found the range on it. There were rumours we were getting the FCC version of the drone. Can you confirm this?

                • @aldroid: Yep I got it. I haven't done a maximum range test but I've seen plenty of videos of it going over 4km. I've only flown it 3 times and I hit 2km max. I did get some interference along the way. Definitely not as reliable as the priority DJI connection but pretty impressive for Wi-Fi.

If you're in NO HURRY and would prefer to save $500 on the MAVIC MINI FLY MORE COMBO, here's how you can claim one for $299.

    1. Visit https://www.koganmoney.com.au/credit-cards/ - and apply for a Kogan Credit card ($6K limit min)

    2. If approved, simply spend $500 on eligible items (your best bet is to get $500 Woolies/groceries gift card, or something that you are certain to use) within the first month. MAKE SURE you credit your card account with the purchase amount in cash, etc (to avoid any interest charges)

    3. Within 10 weeks, you'll be credited $500 to use on KOGAN.COM purchases. Kogan, of which, are authorised DJI resellers and sell Australian stock - at least according to their website, simply use your credits to purchase the currently-listed $799 item…and a few days later, bobs your uncle!

    4. As there is no monthly to annual fee - and presumably you didn't accrue interest from the initial purchase made on the card, you can CANCEL your card, free of charge - especially if you don't need it.

FYI 1: Kogan are back by Citibank
FYI 2: You're certain NOT to see this combo any cheaper, even 2nd hand, for probably another year…so worth the wait, IMO if you can hold out a couple of months.

    • That is true OzBargain style. Noice!

    • this is an excellent idea

  • Has anyone got any experience with using any of the DJI drones with one of the fishing combos where you can drop a lure? Looking to get a drone and wondering if this will do.
