    Major Electrical interference from Diifuser!!

    With Diffuser on…
    ABC & TEN TV shows "no service" or breaks up on all TVs in house!
    DAB+ Radio (on some radios) has no reception!

    Turn Diffuser off - DAB+ & TV reception resumes😣
    Not in a strong signal area.

      Another Diffuser for household arrived - also causing major Electrical interference.

      Shielded diffuser, then 24V plug pack in steel saucepan - didn't affect interference.

      Unusable.

          I'm still checking this unusual problem. Never seen this in years working on electronics.

          Waited for second unit to test now, which also had the same problem.

          Working my way methodically through possible causes. But this is not a field I am very experienced in.

          More fully shielded diffuser & plug pack which slightly lowered interference.

          Put comment here as many have bought.
          Waiting on others feedback!

          Difference to most users is am in low signal strength area (especially with ABC TV & DAB+), where interference issues will be most noticeable.

          Will contact Rep as have worked through a big problem with their listing of AstiVita fridge before.

          Then post review on Amazon.
          And review my + vote😉

          Problem was isolated to my poor reception location, now solved.
          Astivita were supportive as I've found in the past.
          But a good suggestion I would have followed if problem could not be solved.

      [UPDATE] TV & DAB+ interference FIXED with upgrade of antennas & cabling at low signal strength location.
      Not a problem due to Diffuser!!

      What I will do to use a good value Diffuser… It was a lot of work.

      After trying electrical isolation of interference in Diffuser, adding filter capacitors across 24V supply, nothing worked. It does have strong interference - observed by using an AM radio nearby.

      Got time today to install new TV antenna (was waiting to be installed for a while), replaced coax TV cable with quad shield cable, bypassed the distribution amplifier & power supply… and solved the TV problem.

      Problem was due to poor TV distribution system & low signal strength at location. An isolated problem, not a problem with Diffuser!!

      Had not updated it since digital TV arrived. So a necessary update.

      DAB+ interference still was a problem. There was no DAB+ reception as soon as Diffuser was turned on at unit.

      Solved DAB+ issue by adding an external car TV antenna to 2 DAB+ radios.

      Both TV & DAB+ reception is at its very limits at my location. The interference seems to push reception off the Digital Cliff! When that happens - there is no digital signal!

      Always was happy with diffuser - now even happier😊

    Love this powerful diffuser!

    Interference I found is likely to be issue only in rare cases (low TV signal strength, using distribution amplifier, etc).
    Hope I am only one with that problem. Rep is helping sort out problem.

    Received the diffuser but having an issue with changing between low and high mist mode as there doesn’t seem to be any difference between the two.

    Can anyone tell me if this is normal and I’m just missing something?

      From my review in other Diffuser deal:
      High/Low (mist) button - can't see any difference in mist or operating sound. (Now tested with 2 units)

    PSA: Read manual, setup and turned on only to find water leaking through the wiring and electronics out onto the plug going to the wall.
    Unplugged it immediately. Pretty suprised this didnt short circuit or catch on fire.
    Wont be plugging it back in again… have contacted amazon for a refund.

      Found if unit is tipped - water can flow over reservoir lip, down outside it & flow under cover. Looks as if leaking from base!

      More likely if over fill reservoir.

      Main way water could flow out base is if ultrasonic transducer (the metal circle in middle of reservoir base) was incorrectly fitted - draining water straight through base.

      Easily observed (with cover removed) by placing a small amount of water in reservoir & observing if water escapes. Just don't tip it.

      [If you are handy with repairs…
      Should be easily fixed by using Philips head screwdriver to unscrew base & tighten mounting screws of transducer. Then observe if it leaks. (I've worked on other diffusers.)
      That's what would likely be done to check returned unit for any manufacturing fault.]

      Otherwise could be crack in reservoir.

      Pretty suprised this didnt short circuit or catch on fire.

      It's 24V @600mA, so can't see any risk, just inconvenience of water spill.

    I've been using this and loving it. Timer function with auto-switch off when tank is dry are really handy features.
