Sony E PZ 18-105mm F/4 G OSS - $619.20 ($584.80 with eBay Plus) Delivered @ digiDIRECT eBay

PUMPUP

Original Coupon Deal

Missed the JB Hi-Fi deal($594.15) on this last time and been waiting since and finally my patience has paid off. They usually sell between $650 - $749 so @ $584.80 & free delivery (most charge $9.95 delivery) is a great price. I will be claiming TRS on this so brings this down a further 10%.

Great lens for your Sony A series, main use is for travel and gimbals use as the zooming does not extend the lens so no need to re-calibrate the gimbal.

  • I already have this lens. This is very good price.

  • Wow, great price! I got one of these last year (i think?) for a little over $650 on special. Great lens for any of the sony A6XX series cameras.

  • Which one is better? 105 or 135?

    • This one is good for video as it stays at constant aperture throughout the whole zoom range, it has power zoom and the lens doesn’t extend when it zooms.

You've got two different lenses confused. The deal you linked is the 18-105 G (regularly available around $600) but both your links for reference are for the 18-135mm which is normally $800 and not a G lens.

    • +1

Sorry, was looking at both the lenses so had heaps of tabs opened and copied the wrong links. Now updated with correct links and added a price comparison link.

      Cheers!

  • Is this F/4 lens any good for bokeh?

    • Bokeh is average, for good bokeh use a prime lens like Sigma 16mm f/1.4

      • I'd say it's good at the telephoto range as I've got some fantastic shots this way. However, there's not much at 18mm.

  • I see $688 with $68.80 OFF ?? How do you see $584.80

10% off for non plus, 15% for plus members.

        oh thanks

Have this lens. OSS is god mode. 4-5 stops worth.

Sharpness is average but better than either of the kit lenses. Center sharpness (where is usually matters) is very good.

Zoom range is outstanding, covering just about every scenario.

Also have several e-mount primes but this lens is attached 90% of the time.

    • ditto that!

  • Ugh, what I'd do for a cheap FE wide lens less than 21mm.

This looks alright but the cropping would be pretty drastic on a full frame

    • Samyang 20mm 1.8 - Manual lens but very good with a fast aperture too.

  • I'm the guy that posted the last deal - cool lens so far! Even managed to do a soccer game with some light cropping. Havent used it much but liking it so far.

  • is this good for a sony a7iii, i currently have a 24-70mmf4 lens. is it worth the upgrade?

    • Not really no, because this is an APS-C lens, so your camera will either not be able to use the full focal range, or will switch to crop mode (less megapickles) automatically.

Also you should find out what you're lacking currently and make future lens decisions based on what you need. Are you lacking reach, quality, or f/ ?

      • huh thanks for the advice.

      • im actually thinking of getting a sony 35mm 1.4 or a sigma version of it as its a little bit cheaper. the only thing im looking in lens atm is lower f/ and mm

        • Ok just remember to look at Sony FE (full frame E-mount) designation lenses. Anything 'made for APS-C' isn't for you.

  • oh sorry this is not sold out – signed up for free trial of ebay plus and just bought one
