  • Great price!

  • These really have stood the test of time - I can't remember when they released, but mine have been going strong since then, albeit they don't get used as much as they used to since I got the QC30

Agree. I got mine in 2014. Still going strong, especially good for long-haul flights where you can sleep with them in.

    • Mine didn't last that long. The 3.5mm cable started to fray and I found that it would have significant distortion as a result, eventually one ear cuts out. That being said they were great whilst they worked for a few years though. Far more comfortable to wear on a plane (with glasses) than my QC35's.

Got these for $224 from this deal in 2014: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/174568
They have been great and much more comfortable than over-ear headphones.

    • Hahaha I remembered that I managed to get one under $200 still going strong much better to sleep on - on the plane

  • Old stock

  • Surprised to see a wired headset still being sold (at premium price tag) while the technology has moved so damn quickly in this space.

You won't be suprised, if you're a frequent flyer. đŸ˜‰

      • You are right, i'm a frequent flyer but have seen more people with wireless headphones as compared to these. Not to forget this particular model which carries a tiny brick with its 3.5 mm jack, looks bit clunky too :-(

        • I prefer wired - as airline movie sets / screens don't offer Bluetooth. I'd have to bring an additional Bluetooth transmitter.

Wireless would consumer more power also etc etc

  • I've got these but, personally, I prefer to use block out in ear buds that noise cancelling. The noise cancelling gets rid of the "background" noises like engine hum but doesn't get rid of close by noises like a kid screaming. I use standard ear buds then use the Comply ear tips to get a nice blockout effect; works really well when you play your music or the entertainment system.
