I still travel back to NYC. Still a fun game but shows how quickly you get used to a change in mechanics. Dark Zone is still getting activity, had a full server 2 group manhunt going.
Even more odd because it was on there for a while back earlier this year and they took it off.
I'm still playing Division 1, farming and working on classified builds and try to go further in resistance. Very enjoyable. Players are not as many but still enough for interesting interactions. I've never got the DLCs though. Wondering if this includes those DLCs

If people were downvoting the Switch online deal because it was "just things being added to a subscription service", why isn't this one?

Posts about tv series/ movies rarely get to the home page on the other hand, so why would people care about additions to streaming services?

Feel free to post steam deals, no one is stopping you, maybe it will make you less toxic. Once again though Lysander doesn't post a deal for every pc game thats on sale, you're making that one up.
Netlfix content is also a deal, the difference is no one cares.

I think a discount of 75-90% off does qualify as a deal for most people.

Agree with a few of the above. Mentioned it in an old PS Plus new monthly games thread. Not so much bargains as entitlements. It's a good reminder for people that aren't as active, particularly for PS+ as you have to "claim" them each month
New items added to subscription service aren't bargains.

This is just an advertisement for an existing rental service. It's not a deal or bargain at all.
It's the equivalent of putting up a weekly/monthly post updating the Video Ezy rental catalogue, or the new library books available.

Additions to subsription services are deals, since it is usually the cheapest option. The difference is basically no one wants to see additions to netflix. People want to see additions to game pass, judging by the upvotes.

How's this a deal or not? There's no price, it is just an addition to a current service.
I think it's a bit of a grey area that the powers that be on the site might need to address. Technically it doesn't seem to fit the category of a downvote, but I don't think it really constitutes a deal either.

I have gamepass… But I don't need to see this. It pushed out other actual bargains. Only so many bargains will make the front page. More of these = less actual bargains.
I do not need to see 90% of the bargains on the front page as they do not apply to me or do not interest me. Yet they are still bargains and represent useful info that people other than myself find useful and great. Therefore, since this is a site for everybody and the community I am fine with those 90% bargains that are irrelevant to me being posted and being on the front page.
Anything else, in my opinion, would be a bit ……selfish.
The point is this isn't a bargain, it should be posted on the forums and the mods should set a precedent. Same with PSPlus monthly, Xbox Gold monthly or Origin Premier/Access…

In fact the strange thing is that some of the very people complaining now have posted this tupe of deal in the past themselves. I think you can see how that undermines any kind of credibility and strength of argument.

@Lysander: I think that some people may have changed their view because subscription services are becoming a far more prevalent way to consume content… As such we are seeing 2 or 3 of these a day.
In my view it is just advertising for that platform.
Ozbargain has in the past been quite strict / come down hard on posts that are just blatant advertising. I'm just not sure why there is an exception here.
I have absolutely no qualms if someone posts a cheap rate for a sub - e.g 3 months free etc. But just listing new content on a sub doesn't qualify as a bargain to me.

Do you think I enjoy reading the comment "It's on gamepass" for every game deal I post, especially since the comparison is flawed. However, I don't go on and keep complaining about it and neg the comment because people obviously think it is a valid comment.
All this aggression and negativity by some of the neggers really ruins the site and atmosphere. I know people who are too scared to post a deal here because of such behaviour - I leave it to you to decide whether this is really a desired and acceptable outcome.
I just bought a new xbox here coming from PS. Does the subscription in live work in a similar way as PS+?

By Xbox Live, I take it you mean Gold subscriptions.
For Xbox One games, yes. For Xbox or Xbox 360 games, you get to keep them even after unsubscribing.
If you're talking about Gamepass, then you lose access to all games.
If people want to know what games are added to subs then follow a gaming blog or reddit.
Alternatively have a category and let people hide it.

Sorry but this is the same as the Nes/SNES app for Nintendo online being updated. Going to get a neg because updates for services that aren't limited aren't a deal, it's merely an update.
Your logic is very flawed but you can neg all you want as it does not change a thing.
Download the Game Pass app for your phone and every time games are added or removed it sends you a notification.
Download the Amazon app, JB-hifi app etc. and you get notifications for their offers too. Are you going to neg all of those deals, too?
Not sure what the deal is here? It's just a list of the new games added to the service? No saving on regular gamepass pricing, no free trial, etc.
These additions are just to replace the games that exited the service. Create a forum thread for Xbox Game Pass and post the removals/additions each month in there would be best as that way people can subscribe the thread and get updates.
Amazon/JB deals are a saving on the RRP (although only worth posting if they are below the RRP of the rest of the market)

Division is an odd add. Fun game but with 2 out is anyone really playing 1? I guess with it being free it will add more players but still. 2 is better, much better..
