Lol used shopback since june and have $70 in my account however only $6 confirmed due to slow confirmation, no deal for me

    • +30

I've been with Shopback since 11/11/2018. ~$300 lifetime earnings, $220 withdrawn, $80 pending with the earliest pending transaction being on October 2nd. Confirmation and payment speeds are fine compared to other cashback sites IMHO.

      • +2

I've been with Shopback since July 2018. Have cashed out $150, with another $20 or so pending. I don't really see much difference in time between Cashrewards and Shopback confirmation times.

        • -1

Been with SB since last year, have close to $300 CB

        • +1

Member since March 2018; $987.34 lifetime earnings; $926.99 withdrawn. Much of it was from the the 10% ebay CB days.

Shopback are the best in my experience from using 3 cashback sites (Cashrewards, Shopback and GoCashBack). GoCashBack has yet to confirm my first purchases from August. Shopback tends to confirm purchases a few days earlier than indicated.

    • +1

I joined CashRewards in July and ShopBack in August this year. Got $122 confirmed from CashRewards and already withdrew. From ShopBack I have $135 confirmed and $191 still pending. I think the approval speed is relatively similar. Both are reliable. I have only had to lodge one missing case so far with ShopBack but it was smoothly, no drama.

    • Probably a CR employee lol

    • Shopback works fine for me, so far $300 credit with $120 withdrawn.

    • SB - $100 withdrawn, $80 pending
      CR - over $1000 withdrawn in 3yrs

    • Started with Cashrewards almost 3 years ago. Have >$800 earned and all but $50 withdrawn
Started with SB a year ago. Have >$750 earned with <$100 pending
      I obviously spend a bit online…..
I still use both - generally based on who's offering the better deal. Had a few tracking issues with both but they've normally been rectified.

    • You do understand that it's money that you would have never had if it weren't for these cashback sites?

      • I mean, the term and condition said $10 needed to be confirmed, but i only had $6

  • +2

just had a quick look, full of overpriced products…

    • +4

Yup. I stopped looking … but came across these which currently is the same price as Coles' half price special.

$1.10 Peckish Sour Cream and Chives Rice Cracker 100 g (BUT have to buy minimum of 5x)
      https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07TPWLFTQ

      • -3

        Right, but I don't want 5 lol
Plus I can always get these kind at discounted supermarket at 33c-50c each

        • When & where 33c-50c each please?

        • @Taneda1988 Please advise where to get these Peckish thins for 33 cents. I'd like to buy some too…

          • +1

@kickling: You may find them at your local discounted food wearhouse
They may be short dated, may not always have the exact brand or flavour you want
But there is no difference in taste
Turnover is quick, you will get what you want if you are patient enough to wait

        • +2

You get over $2 cashback with these when ordering 5, making these around 70c each delivered - without the travel & time cost, hassle & uncertainty of finding stock you want at discount shops.

I regularly buy at discount supermarket (Golden Circle Factory Outlets in Brisbane) - 70c is still a good price there on fresher stock. But it is a distance away, so have to consider travel time & cost. Especially so at Christmas! Delivery to door brings this in at a good price👍

Going down to 33c is a risk as taste & crispness of at useby date stock is a gamble. But some taste great.

Often the least popular flavours are cheapest, as they didn't sell for a reason.

I've regretted a few "bargain" food purchases!

          • @INFIDEL: You are right, if you love Rice Cracker, you should buy from Amazon
But I am not. And there is a min order quantity.
As I said, I don't want 5 packs, that's too many for me
I don't impulse buy, that's how Amazon makes money from its prime members
I only buy what I need, plus sometimes just a small amount to try new products

            • @TanedaR: Yes, stores are great for buying new products to try - only need to buy 1 (preferably on special).

At discount stores I buy 1, try outside, & buy more if fresh & tasty. Often the stock are strange brands or flavours I've never tried. If I go back for more later, generally the stock of what I want is sold out. So I buy a few packs, as price is usually lower for bulk buying.

You're lucky if you don't impulse buy. That's what OzBargain seems all about!
I signed up for 30 days free (again). So my impulse buys are limited.

Have stocked up on rice crackers in last week. All are ones I've tried before.

I rarely eat snacks. But these are usually fine in moderation. Plenty of time to eat them… Best by dates August 2020 for the Fantastic Rice Crackers.

Luckily, buying 5 took the purchase over $5 for the $2 cashback. Otherwise I wouldn't have bought.
Buying 1 or 2 - best buy elsewhere.

      • Thanks, ordered 5 for $5.50👍
Good price (70c each delivered) after $2+ cashback.

Bought Fantastic Rice Crackers, Seaweed last week on Amazon for $0.85, now $1.79 on Christmas Page😒

    • +1

Found a fitting and eligible present for you (legit) :D

  • +1

A specific book I've been after as a gift seems to be part of the Christmas store so this is quite a useful promotion. Should only cost ~$1 more than Book Depository during the 25% back offer, but this will be delivered Wednesday instead of possibly missing Christmas.

So, a useful offer for me. Thanks OP.

Reese's Peanut Butter Puffs, Breakfast Cereal, 11.5 Ounce $5.59
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07CZ83NQ4

    • Maybe I'm blind but that's not showing on the Xmas gifts page.

      • -2

Oops I thought it was any product. Sorry about that. Can someone please edit my post.

        • Report your post & ask to delete.

    • You can search the Christmas Gifts Page - click "Shop All", click "Food & Drink", "under $10" & narrow by Category.

  • Never got any transactions tracked on SB when the order was more than $50, won’t fall for them again.

    • +1

I pre-order games and whatnot pretty often on Amazon via SB ($60+) and they always track.

Do you have ad-block enabled the shopping sites?

      • +1

near 100% tracking minus the groupon bug they had since I started using…

      • -2

I only use app and all my order around $20 were tracked. They only missed big ones. And you guys can stop pretending being customers here. Look at productreview, see how many people they screwed.

        • +2

lol i'm not a pretend customer. I use both CR and Sb religiously with over $1000 combined cashback. Just sharing my experience. In this game, there are tons of rules and it's easy to mess one up to get a missed track. For the most part, I can only think of two instances where I had problems with claiming (1 each for SB and CR).

  • +1

darn too bad it's limited to those items. would make a purchase otherwise

  • Is there a way to search the Gift Shop thing? I can't find it at all.

    • You can narrow your search by category:

From the Christmas Gifts Page - click "Shop All", click "Food & Drink" etc, select Categories "Drinks" etc, "up to $10" etc.

In that example, reduced to only 20 products of cheap drinks.

      • is there a way to search for a specific item and only show Christmas Gifts? Instead of navigating through categories. What I'm after is cables and I don't know what that would fall under.

        • That's too complex for me!

  • +2

Thank you! I needed some green ribbon for wrapping & found 25 yards for 6.95. With $2 off = $5. Nice price for moi :)

  • Is there a way to find out if an item is on the chistmas gifts list?

    • +1

nope. Have to browse the list one by one.

It's Amazon's answer to ebay's 'eligible items' policy.

Not worth wasting your time for $2.

    • its on their front page. Just click on the banner "Christmas gift shop".

  • Still got a pricepal account never hear anything from that mob anymore

    • Think it disappeared with my unclaimed cashback!

      • Just noticed wonder how much i had in my account sitting there.

  • +1

Codenames is in there for $21 and is an excellent party game. Easy!
