That is a pretty good deal.

Be prepared for it to show up in January… Still waiting for my video card to be shipped from last week from these guys.

    • Make sure you use Paypal then

From what others have said, you should spend the extra $15 on express shipping as the australia post courier picks up the items on demand, whereas sendle picks up bulk sales once per week.

But yeah, I'm very glad I used paypal :D

        • it was showing $35 for shipping for me, i think i will chance it with free

Be careful of this seller. See here for others' bad experiences. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/503050

    • I'm not keen of relying on luck…might keep lucking

Bought a 3700X off them last week, delivered within 4 days to my workplace (someone signed for it and I got e-mail updates on delivery status). Box was sealed and it looks like it's working well so far. A good experience for me, but if things do go south I'll contact PayPal.

  • How quiet is the cooler that's included? Should I buy an aftermarket one?

    • +1

For me: Under full load, loud AF. It also didn't ramp smoothly, but that might've been fixable, I didn't keep it on for long.

For idle and low-moderate loads it's fine though, which includes most games. Probably worth trying the stock cooler before splashing out on an aftermarket cooler. Just replace the thermal goop, mine was like concrete after a week and made removal a real PITA.

I have it on my 3900x right now and it’s going off ASAP. Temps are fine but it just revs too much at the slightest moment the CPU is being used such as opening the web browser.

      • +1

that's a shame. The RGB looks nice on it.

    • NOPE, get a Noctua or AIO if you have already spent nearly 700 on a CPU….these hearsinks are buautiful and they suit AMD fan boys(myself) pretty well, until you open your browser and hear the helicopter approaching….waiting for the U12A to come in stock ATM..

Get in before they price jack it like last time.

  • Can anyone recommend a good X570 motherboard around the $250 mark? Thanks

    • Asus Prime X570-P

  • I bought a CPU from FTC last week on eBay. They shipped it in a satchel without bubble wrap. Nothing broken but the box was squashed from handling.

  • Just updating anyone that might be interested. I purchased this CPU on Monday and I just received it today. Was heavily bubble wrapped and the corners are a little roughed up but overall fairly decent.
