Apropos to this deal, the Smart Rice Box is also a good deal. Some people argue it's better, but I've had the original (dumb?) rice cooker for years and it's been brilliant.

Sooo… what does this do that the $30 Kmart Rice Cookers can't do? Only eat a small amount of rice
Im using this Brand for over 10 years plus and still working by the time we are speaking.
The Big W / Kmart $30 or less which my Indian house mate bought it only last 4 months and he lost the receipt for the purchase too.

They don't make them like the old days any more. My mum passed me a rice cooker that's over 20 years old and still works fine.

Mine always burns the rice on the bottom.

my Xiaomi Smart Electric Rice Cooker never burns anything and it can download GOT and Star trek at same time.

Upgraded to the cheap Panasonic and it's much better.
Mine does similair. Doesn’t burn it so to speak but it leaves a gunky stuck together layer on the bottom, which then peels off in multiple clumps.
This is amazing rice cooker for the price. I bought one and very satisfied.
