Great monitor, great price. Got mine for RRP, loving it.

We finally have 240Hz IPS screens, something to consider.

    • 27" FHD though, 25" FHD soon, but they look to be just OK. At 240Hz, you're probably still looking at TN for its motion clarity, and you've already got the option of 27" QHD 240Hz (though no models here yet for some reason). QHD 240Hz IPS will be next year some time.

240Hz VA is also an option - again at 27" FHD - maybe 32" QHD 240Hz VA at the least next year, but no more info as yet. Expect news out of CES 2020.

You can see the first 240Hz IPS review here: https://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/acer_nitro_xv273x.htm

      • The problem with QHD 240 Hz is it's barely possible to hit 240Hz at FHD much of the time.

        • Good enough for competitive titles on a 2060 in my experience, and it's not like you're buying the monitor only for your current build, you're usually buying it for at least 5 years.

QHD 240Hz seems like a good stopping point until microLED and something like 4k 480Hz+.

  • My 9800 video card can't utilise this lol

  • If only this was an Ultrawide. I'd have creamed my pants

    • I understand as when I saw the Ultra of UltraGear and got excited too soon.

  • Shame, I just grabbed one for $700.
Looks like they're out of stock now anyway.

  • OOS already.. wow.

Been eying this deal for a while now. And it sells out minutes after posting.

Guess I'll be waiting a while longer.

    G-Sync "compatible" is not G-Sync.

This. I was about to pull the trigger on this monitor because I thought it ticked all my boxes. Then I did some research and found out it's not proper G sync so I bought a Asus Pg279q since Im using 2070s.

      • Does it make a huge difference? I mean 300 bucks difference is a bit much

      • I just bought the same one a week ago. It's hot as hell :)

I'm still waiting for that viewsonic one lol

  • Bugger. Missed it again!

  • sad, got mine for 670ish last week :(

  • I've heard this runs bad at 1ms.

What's the minimum recommended response you should set it to?

On second thought, I'm just about ready to give up on this monitor. It's rarely this price and sells out super quick when it is. I'm looking at AORUS AD27QD and Asus PG279Q now.

    • It's IPS and historically those don't run close to 1ms however from reviews they said this one is pretty good. I'm on the same boat however I passed on it and went with the Viewsonic VX2758-2KP-MHD since it's almost 150 bucks cheaper.

      • does it support g-sync?

        • It's "compatible" as it is on Freesync I believe however I've looked around reddit/whirpool and lots mentioned it's fine. Not paying G-sync tax saves a lot though haha.

Sick of this being out of stock, I decided to purchase this at Amazon AU for $749 with $50 cashback through SB. I will make a price protection claim the next time it is this price, so in the end, if Shopback can be trusted (a very big if), I will have paid $586.65. Fingers crossed.

    • Also bit the bullet and purchased from Amazon. Looks like its out of stock there as well. I was originally wanting to buy the Viewsonic VX2758-2KP-MHD but that's been out of stock everywhere. Total price comes out to about $699 after SB which is only ~$50 more expensive than this listing after shipping. The difference isn't really worth waiting months for. Can't wait to use this beast monitor on my new rig.

      • I bought the last one.

But luckily Amazon is letting you order more and they will ship it when it comes in stock. This doesn't always happen with Amazon.

For me, I have a credit card with shopper's protection, so I will eventually get the difference back, but because of the $50 cashback, it's a bonus I wouldn't have got had I bought one from this deal.
