Seems like a good price for an Entry headset.

HardwareCanucks has a good comparison between the G Pro and Hyper X Cloud Alpha

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3oJmfA7iCk

    • Good comparison and price-wise the alphas haven't been close to this cheap I don't think. Definitely worth the buy if you after a decent headset for cheap.

  • No USB DAC?

    • +2

Almost every motherboard in existence uses Realtek AC1220 audio now which features a great DAC.

  • My code is the same so generic it is.

  • Thoughts on this vs Aldi gaming headset that can be found for $49 now on clearance?

    • +7

      This lol

    • You can always get the Aldi one and return it within 60 days if you feel that it's cheap or low quality.

  • Just bought the Hyper X Stinger last week for $50 - Wonder if this would have been a better choice now.

    • Haven't tried either but I see a lot more love for the Hyper X.

      • Stinger is bare bones flat and tinny headset. nothing special.

    • I did the exact same thing : /

    • I bought the Hyper X Cloud Alpha and was left disappointed. I was expecting a lot more, but my G230s sounded better. Sold them and bought a pair of Corsair HS50s for half the price and I'm way happier with them on Xbox (comfort, bass, mic).

This Logitech headset is similar aesthetically to the Corsair.

  • Anyone know the actual model of this?

    • That's the actual model.
      It doesnt have a number.

  • would this go okay with xbox one?

    • +1

As long as your controller is not a Gen1 (ie without the round 3.5mm jack on the controller)

  • Is this 7.1?

    • HEADPHONE
      Driver: Hybrid mesh PRO-G
      Magnet: Neodymium
      Frequency response: 20 Hz-20 KHz
      Impedance: 32 Ohms
      Sensitivity: 107 dB@1 KHz SPL 30 mW/1cm
Noise Isolation: up to 16 dB
      Cable length: 2 m
Surround: Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos for headphones Compatible

      from Logitechs website.

    • Is it a 7.1 device in Windows. Not sure.

All PC users should take note that they can use more or less any virtual surround available using Equalizer APO and HeSuVi.

      No headset is.

      • -2

Well you need to do some research.

    • They are headphones, so physically it'll be 2.0 as in left and right channels.

Now as to whether it can handle virtual surround sound, it does support Atmos for Headphones so there's that.

But in reality I've never found these virtual surround setups to be that mind blowing. Rather just get the stereo mixdown.

      • Any headphones can "handle" Dolby Atmos for Headphone (or any other virtual surround) because it's 2 channel stereo.

Virtual surround depends on the shape of the users head and ear and not all algorithms work for all people. Some seem to work better for more people than others such as the newer Dolby Atmos for Headphone algorithm.

If you are a PC user you can use basically any algorithm you want as outlined above.

        • So pretty much what I've already said.

    • By the description below they’re regular stereo headphones. If you’re using them on PC any virtual surround software will work on any headphones.. for console you’ll only get 2 channel stereo

  • Great headset for the price, young fella using this with his xbox one x.

  • Anyone think this would be an upgrade from a hyperx cloud? The original haha
Only care for sound and comfort

  • Bought these a couple of weeks ago for $66. They are relatively light and come with two different pairs of ear pads, reasonably comfortable and the mic is decent. Sound is okay, alittle bit boomy but good enough for gaming.

  • Own these, use for travel, PC gaming, and Xbox PS4 gaming and can't rate them highly enough. Had a lot of other wired 'gaming' headsets over last ten years and this is brilliant at the price . Thanks OP just got a spare set for emergency lol .

    • How is the mic on Xbox? Is it loud enough? My Logitech G230s are so quiet they're practically unusable if I don't consciously speak louder than I normally would.

      • I have them on Xbox one X playing latest COD and no issues at all with mic. Great bass and punchy sounds .

Can I improve on my quick-scoping with these?

  • Stock is going so fast.

  • Just ordered this. Thanks OP and everyone for the positive input about these headphones!

  • Hey guys, going to be my first headset in a long time.

Considering buying this or the Plantronics Rig 500HD 7.1 (another thread on this deal $64). I will only use it for PC gaming.

Which would you rather choose? Any oppinion?

  • Just picked up the last one of these in adelaide im pretty sure. Just told them the code at the counter and got the discount.

I can definitely say these headphones are pretty damn decent and blow the hyper x stingers out the water.

  • Missed this… :(
