Oculus Go is a whole new way to watch in VR. With crystal clear optics and state-of-the-art 3D graphics, the headset feels more like a personal theater. It's designed to be ready when you are. That means no wires, no PC, and no phone to drop in.

64GB is the same, but the 32GB is $229.

  • Comparing ths, does Oculus Quest worth the extra $?

If you want to play games then yes, a million times better

This is ok for porn / 3d movies.

    • Yes if you plan on using it for things other than watching porn.

The quest has 6dof,meaning the headset can detect when you move around eg. dodging things. You can only look around in this one. Plus the quest recently got the ability to tether to a pc, basically acts as a rift now with slightly lower screen specs.

    • Forget this one. Get a Quest has head tracking, dual controls, and now, hand recognition… although this is very new but will definitely be a plus in the near future.

  • Is this good for watching movies on the computer?

no wires, no PC, and no phone

The system is self-contained. You don't need a computer to play the video but you can stream it from your PC. Alternately, you play the video from internal storage.

    • I just don't like watching movies on a headset in general. The display really isn't great compared to a good tv and it gets hot / heavy after a while.

      • its so hot in there even my eyes started sweating

      • The exception for me is 3D movies. I have a 3D 4K big screen tv and the 3D looks shit on it. Same with cinema. It's almost certainly something to do with my eyes but it just doesn't work. Threw a 3d movie on my VR headset and a totally different story. The 3D was so striking. Also I find the Gear VR got heavy but the PSVR I could wear for hours.
