It is a pretty good game, especially if you love Minecraft.
It feels like a more complete game than Minecraft, and the developers are still actively updating and introducing (free) new content.
It's more exploration based than Minecraft I'd say, and there's a fair amount to do (boss battles, lots of unique equipment to make).
Decent, and worth $5 IMO.I bought it at $3 a while ago and like it much, hard to find active server though.

As has been said above - absolutely worth the $5. As for Terraria vs Minecraft… I think I prefer whichever I'm playing at the time :D
Personally I kinda like minecraft more, terraria's adventuring is nice, but minecraft's style (art, sound and whatever) I just find more compelling. Still, terraria's great if you have some friends to play with :)
