      Yes it does play MKV container H.264

      sorry for the delay, we have just tested the unit using MKV container H.264 and it looks great. We had tested the unit with AVI container h.264 which also works well.

      NTFS, fat, fat32 and ext2 formats are all fine to use with the media player

    No Offense, I find the Contrast ratio to be similar to LCD tvs. I thought LED TV should have a lot higher Contrast ratio.

      This is the static contrast ratio of the panel itself, the dynamic ratio which is generally much higher incorporated local dimming of the LED back light and a few other features to increase the contrast.

      The panel itself has a 1000:1 ratio before local dimming etc is used to increase it

    Note in the fine print that if it's faulty and they can't fix it, you will get a credit voucher and not a refund…

    Also, i can't seem to find any info on their dead/stuck pixel policy, just a link to wikipedia describing what it is…

      All units sold through the vision digital website come with a 1 year In-home replacement warranty.

      I am assuming you are referring to the section of our warranty that advises:
      Under the warranty provisions, Vision Digital will replace faulty goods. If the product can not be exchanged by the same or another item with at least the same specifications, then a credit voucher will be provided.

      As stated on the Vision Digital website, we have a 0 dead/bright pixel guarantee, all units are tested and if a unit with a dead pixel does get past us it will be replaced free of charge with a new unit.

        Under the ACL, goods sold must be of acceptable quality and thus free from defects. I don't think a credit voucher is sufficient enough a remedy providing that the defective good cannot be replaced.

          The credit voucher allows us to cater for all outcomes. We keep sufficient stock to cater for our replacement warranty but I cannot state the stock level in 11 months time of that item. As stated in the warranty before moving to the credit voucher option we will replaced with another model with at least the same specification, this would generally be our new model in the 42" LED range.

          This is simply covering all situations, we have never actually provided a credit voucher to our customers as if the old models are out of stock a new model is given in its place.

          I think you misread the credit voucher concept. They offer a credit voucher IF they cant give you a replacement, which could happen if they can get a suitable replacement for you. Think its a nice idea that they spell things out.

          So suppose I buy a TV and I find out it is defective within a reasonable time (let's say 1 week). If, for whatever reason, you have no replacement stock, am I not eligible for a refund?

    Are you able to advise of shipping cost to 4825 as the website doesn't seem to want to in IE9, Chrome, FF or on my phone. It has been looping for about ten minutes not giving a price. Works with other post codes though so it isn't a browser error.

      I have contacted TNT as the website is linked directly to their postage calculator, they are checking the issue and will get back to me shortly.

      For now I have been advised by TNT to use 4824 for the postage costs as TNT have advised they are the same rate

    Does the OP have any other photos of the TV? The one on the website is relatively puny for a significant purchase like a TV. A review would be best, but at minimum photos that show side profile or back — which are relevant if you intend to mount this thing IMO. (Asking because I'm in the market and think the metal finish is sexy)

          The units can be tested once received, this is the reason for the no questions asked 7 day money back guarantee. The unit simply must be in as new condition when it is returned. After opening the unit if unimpressed by the quality as long as all items are together and undamaged the warranty still stands. So all you need to do is ensure you do not damage or throw away your packaging etc and call through to us within 7 days to advise of the return.
