I missed out on this on Black Friday so have been looking out for it. Was going to bite the bullet on full price today but noticed there's a discount code on their Amazon page - 50% off if you buy 1 / 60% Off if you buy 2 or more! Free shipping too since it's over $39. Hopoefully just in time for Christmas! Bought 2!

Doesn't say how long it'll last.

This has been as low as $45.. wait till Boxing Day or wait when they reduce

  • Might be good to put the price in the title, good effort tho!

  • I bought the $29.99 BRU one from Aldi and it's been decent, "but" it's a drip style one. Alternative Brewing sells the Hario cold brew for $29.90, which is a similar style to this one ("soak").

I'm happy with the BRU, but will have to see what to do if I run out of filters… maybe cut my own out of linen? :O

Might not be what you are looking for but I recommend the Kmart one https://www.kmart.com.au/product/ice-tea--cold-coffee-brewer… for $12.

I've got 3 cold brewers and this is my favourite one! Also the cheapest..

      • I wish I'd seen that earlier, paid a little more and got one from Amazon, slightly bigger, but otherwise looks exactly the same.

The paper filter is for better results, you can brew without them

      • I also purchased the Kmart one and have no complaints.

Just a question how long do you let yours steep for. Im using a one cup of grounded coffee (coarse) to 4 cups of water recipe and leaving for 12 hours.

        • I'm not sure what it equates to in cups but I weight out 75 grams of beans and just fill it up so that once I put the filter in it will be almost all the way up to the bottom of the black plastic rim if that makes sense. I then brew for 24 hours in the fridge.

      • Yeah that looks like a plastic version of the Hario, hence also a soak. Thanks for the tip! :)

    • I have the Hario one and to me it makes a very weak coffee, even having it in there for over 12 hours. I am getting a BRU system for Christmas and I'm hoping that makes a better coffee.

I had to adjust the BRU to a faster brew because the first ones were too strong. You probably will like it then

  • I got one for $45 its decent, just a pain with a cheapo grinder as they have to be coarse. Turns out alright, id wait for a boxing day sale.

  • Just FYI cold brew only needs a bottle/jar and the fridge. Mix coffee with cold water/coconut water and leave for 8-24h. Done

  • KitchenAid was for sale for $85AUD or so delivered from Amazon recently, don't see many bargains like that come along!
