      Soundlink II is technically better but Flip 5 is better value for what you get for your money.

          If I was rich, I would still get the Flip 5 over the Bose SLII. However I do think the Charge 4 is better value than the Flip 5 if you want more sound. Flip 5 is for listening in your room, a small picnic or dinner party (not many people talking over it). Charge 4 is for a pool party, large BBQ or camping, e.g. when you have a large open space or people talking.

        Just got one off that Bose deal for $101, however considering keeping that for inside and something else for outdoors.

      I suggest you to just trust your ears, when I go testing this things out of general hype I am usually disappointed.

        Yeah I agree another thing though for me is price, I love Bose sound but if you can get something that is cheaper with the same sound then I would be happy. Most Reviews I have just read on the Charge 4 seems better than the Bose Soundlink 2 colour and for cheaper for me is a no brainer. I understand what you mean though with sound and price.

      Charge 4 is comparable with the Megaboom 3. The boom 3 is not in the same league with the charge 4

    Charge 4 is definitely the best value for money here - has 3.5mm input and can charge phone, 50% more output, ~55% more play time, ~65% more battery capacity. Downsides are double the weight, more than double the time to full charge and slightly increased dimensions (22x9.5 vs 18x7.5). Both have type c charging but are only on bluetooth 4.2 and don't support calls or assistants. I think the Charge is going to be the pick for most people unless space and weight are at a premium like if you wanted to take it travelling or something.

    Got the Charge 4 based on peoples opinions here. Will use it for the occasional outdoor dance party for the kids so hope it's ok. Previously used a friend's UE Boom 3.
