          They got lucky. Think he managed to get an Office works price match to a scam listing (seen it on Google when shopping for this model)… would have given it a swing myself if they held stock in my state at all.

        OK. Figured it out after calling them (and I have to say for what feels like one of those faceless online entities I got to someone really fast and they were extremely helpful). So 30 days after ebay plus sign up they email you effectively a 'gift card' this isn't a voucher and can't be seen in your 'account' as such - you can though look through your 'messages' from ebay.

    I heard from the Ozbargainers that the NC is better on the Bose? Online comparisons are mixed between the two.

      Much of a muchness.

      QoL differences between both apparently. One switches to a 2nd device easier (Sony i believe?) where as the other has assistant built in (Bose).

      Sound on Sony apparently better, NC on Bose better. Battery comparable.

      Personally i plan on getting the Sony because they're USB-C charging ports. I don't have any USB Micro devices anymore nor for the last year or 2, and last 3 phones have all be USB-C so i've got plenty of cables that'll make it easier for me to keep the Sony's charged than the Bose since i'll always have a USB-C cable somewhere nearby.

      So, to summarise, just get whatever floats your boat. If you're like me and you need USB-C, get Sony, if you don't care and want to save an extra couple bucks get the Bose. No doubt you'd be happy with either imo.

          They both have the Google Assistant built-in. The Sony also has support for Alexa. You first have to set them up in the companion app.

        The Bose is the one with the better multi device support as it allows pairing to two devices simultaneously.

        Sony has better battery life.

        Bose has physical buttons vs the Sony having a touch pad.

    PS. in anticipation of the dyson haters.. I know they're not the most economical purifier out there, but they do a good job and I needed one with a blowy fan that also looks cool, so there ya go :)

    Looking at laptops, every single one I looked at was $100 higher at TGG compared to Harvey Norman and Domayne, which are usually the most expensive. Maybe the folks at TGG have been taking a few too many swigs of the ole Jack Daniels?

    Oh, and I see Lenovo's website still has "45% off!" sales which are utter bullshit and illegal, which have been happening for years and which the ACCC is also not doing anything about.

    Good to see taxpayer money put to good work.

    just tried ordering a particular fridge and a washing machine…. but out of stock for click and collect at my local store.
    So I changed postcode and literally every store nationwide out of stock, yet.. on GG's website it was showing as in stock and ready to collect in 2 hours.

      The sale is transferred to your nearest store. Check if they have stock if you need it quickly, otherwise you may have a long wait. They will arrange a date/time that suits you.

    When you claim TRS, can you include shipping as part of the price of the item?

    The item I want to buy is $299. But if I pay for shipping, it will bring it over the $300 threshold.

      I'm not sure about shipping … but remember the invoice from TGG on collection is the original full price so if your ebay price after discount is $299 then your invoice without it will be higher. Also as far as I'm aware its the invoice total is over $300 so add a little something you need?

    Worth noting that there is a product defect on the Sony WH1000XM3B where they have a tendency to crack at the hinges. Mine cracked just two weeks after I got them and when I looked online I realised there have been multiple reports of this weakness
