Free Foxtel Now for 1 Month - All Packs - New Signups Only (Telstra Postpaid Customers)

Saw this in the Telstra Plus app. I'd prefer this over the 2 month essentials pack.

So I'm taking it when I redeemed the 12/24 month trials from Telstra it made me ineligible for this?

  • I'd prefer this over the 2 month essentials pack

    Why?

    F Foxtel.

  • I want to watch Watchmen so I need a free trial. My goal is to never pay Foxtel a cent. Managed to do that with game of thrones.

  • You must be a new Foxtel Now customer and have an eligible Telstra post-paid mobile or fixed broadband service to be eligible for this offer. Eligible customers must redeem through an active Telstra account at https://hub.telstra.com.au/foxtelnow or on a Telstra TV. Offer ends 29 January 2020. Foxtel Now standard monthly pricing applies at the end of the 1 month offer period ($25/mth – Essentials) unless you change your pack or cancel before the end of the offer period. Requires internet & compatible device. Data charges apply. Australia only. Cannot be used in conjunction with other offer.

  • This is from my own personal experience, I remember getting this deal a while ago, getting Foxtel set up because why not.. free 1 month and after that month was up, I could just leave. However, I was instead welcomed to a $400 bill ($300 for Foxtel + $100 for internet). I couldn't believe it, I talked to Telstra and Foxtel, they were telling me the $300 were the setup fees + cost of the box itself.

I told them I want it all returned and I wouldn't pay a single cent, so they said fine but guess what? next month, the same extra $300 on my bill so I had to talk to Telstra again and FINALLY, someone from Foxtel came and took everything back and that $300 was no longer on my bill.

    • this is for foxtel now (online only) and not the box. I hate foxtel just as much as everyone else and have set up a reminder to cancel the service a few days before the trial expires.

      • My bad, had no idea that was a thing.
