[NSW] Pit Boss Mini Ceremic Kamado Grill $100 (was $190) @ Bunnings Bankstown

50

Description: https://pitboss-grills.com.au/Shop-Pit-Boss/Grills/pb-k13-bl…

There were about a dozen of these when I was there earlier this afternoon.

I can no longer find the product on the Bunnings website. I am guessing all stores are clearing them out and will have their own prices.

  • Been as low as 59-69 bucks if you check bbq group facebook posts.

Just depends how desperate your local Bunnings is to clear them (mines still around $150)

Not surprised of the markdown. To small for low and slow of a decent sized cut of meat. And too over the top for cooking up a burger patty or 2. Not sure who they were targeting with this one. It's cute I guess?

    • Yeah, it's cute. Only reason I would get one LOL

I have a Lodge Cast Iron Sportsman Grill for small jobs. Awesome little grill.

    • that was also my concern, too small for any real thermal mass to keep the coals going and the size pizzas you could make on on it would be small.

  • These were on clearence around Perth a few weeks back. I got one, build quality is very good, but it is certainly small, can fit a few steaks or a 1-2 kg roast on it that's about it. Works as a good secondary bbq to save wasting charcoal in the Weber when only cooking for a handful of people.

    • Few steaks? How small are your steaks ;)

Throw on a tomahawk and you cant close the lid :)

      • Haha few scotch fillets or a new York strip fit nicely. But yeah definitely won't be able to get a tomahawk in there lol I use 1/3 of the charcoal when cooking small stuff so it's basically an investment? Haha

Since you've brought up the point maybe the OzBBBQ experts (the extra B stands for BYOBB …) can answer this small question I've had brewing for a while - is a tiny BBQ session where you just cook say 2 steaks and some veg not worth it? By that I mean just a waste of charcoal given the resources to start fire them up just for a short cook?

Been wanting to trying BBQ more stuff but arranging a small get together is proving to take longer than I thought.

    PRICE FOR THIS STORE ONLY

Someone's getting sick of OzBargainers asking for a price match.

  • There $59 at some vic Bunnings or $159 but u can price match

  • Was $60 about a month back at Rydalmere Bunnings. Be patient.

  • Anyone else realise Firebrand briquettes take forever to light up and pretty much doesnt work using white lighters in a chimney?

I have to light using my gas stove.

    • Have you tried breaking them into smaller pieces?

Firebrand is supposed to be good. The chicken shops use them.

I haven't read anything bad about them on bbq forums.
