2 Months Free Subscription to Headspace (Meditation App)

USSOCCER

I was looking around for a code and found this on Twitter. https://twitter.com/ussoccer/status/1205526603595440133?s=19

It can't be added to existing subscriptions/trials. The normal trial is 2 weeks so this is pretty good IMO.

Enter the code by going to https://www.headspace.com/code or just click the Go To Deal Link.

Confirmed 2 months free trial worked for me as existing non-paying user. Just got to remember to cancel before 60 days otherwise it's $69.95/yr

    • What's benefit of subscription VS free

      • Free has a very limited range of material you can listen too.

    • You can turn off auto-renewal straight away, & still get the benefits til the date you'd have to pay for the subscription - that's what I did.

Thanks so much for taking the time to flag this - my mum’s a teacher and will love this cos she’s really into meditation. She’s going through a pretty tough time at the moment so I really appreciate it

This app is cool. I enjoyed the meditations for about 4 weeks then I got bored. The quality is great though.

  • Any reviews? I just downloaded this app last week and just started.
Is it worth and if yes, how ?

Log in to your account from a desktop or mobile browser (not the mobile app) at www.headspace.com.
Visit https://www.headspace.com/subscription/manage and click/tap "TURN OFF AUTO RENEWAL".

    • Thanks for the instructions. They make it a bit hard to find. Would be nice if it was accessible in app too.

      In PayPal (just in case):
      Go to Setting - autopay
      Remove Headspace autopay

      • Thanks for the tip!

  • If you don't want head space, I use YouTube. Plenty on there and you also get the benefit of picking a speaker that you find easier to listen to.

I listen to ones on "breathe" and find it easier to relax if the speaker is a women without a strong accent. Seems like a lot of them are based out of England!

This is good timing, it's been about a month since my last (free) subscription lapsed, I think the guided meditations helped to give more structure to my practice than I realised.

If anyone is interested, there is also the Smiling Mind app which is free for everyone and also developed by Australian psychologists and educators

    • Beat me to it! I love Smiling Mind, & the price is certainly right.

  • ahh i love the sleepcasts

  • My experience with Headspace:

When I started meditation, the speaker scared me every time he spoke. It ruined my mood often and gave me anxiousness. If anyone else feels that, know that you are in are (hopefully) meditating in a safe place. Eventually, I grew to enjoy my time with ya boi, and found it hard to meditate without him.

After three weeks of daily meditation, my thoughts felt much clearer and concentrated.

The app is a little buggy but since it's free, it's definitely worth trying out.

  • I have not had much luck with meditation apps in the past, but free is free, thank you for sharing.

  • Claimed, thanks OP!

  • Used my ACU (university) staff card and they approved a free 12-mth subscription using the education link from prev deal :) Might be progressing past K-12?

  • Sam Harris' meditation app Waking Up is the best app I have used. He allows anyone who cannot afford the subscription to email them and they will provide a year for free.

I have also heard good things about the 10% Happier app

    • Smiling Mind is another good one, & it's totally free.

  • Thanks OP!
