Virgin Australia (Operated by Delta) to Las Vegas Return from MEL $942, SYD $959, BRIS $965 @ FlightScout

200

Great full service price to Las Vegas! Wonder if you can trade return tickets for chips… ;)

From: MEL/SYD/BNE
To: Las Vegas, Nevada, via LAX (Los Angeles)
Airline: Delta
When: Feb-May

I can personally recommend the week before Valentines Day as it's cheap as, but then accommodation gets crazy on the weekends.

Also recommend Grand Canyon, Meteor Crater and Horseshoe Bend in Arizona (seriously, google the last two if you've not heard of them)

  • If this is operated by Delta, are you sure this is full service? Don't some of these US operators charge for water and stuff like that?

    • Yep, when you click through to booking, it'll actually give you two pieces of checked luggage. I think Delta internationally is better than Delta domestically, but if you're connecting from international on the same ticket (like this) you still get your two pieces to Vegas as well. (it shows when you get through to the bookings page)

These days Delta is about as good, maybe slightly better, than VA. Even domestically Delta provides free soft drinks and snacks. Much better than United, AA, and the others. They’ve improved a lot in the last few years and have positioned themselves as a premium product, at least within the US. I’ve had a lot of flights recently with them and personally I reckon their international service was up there with the Asian and Middle-Eastern flagship airlines. With the caveat that the food flying out of LA is not nearly as good as flying out of Sydney (but that’s usually the case anyway…!). At any rate, given the choice I would probably prefer to fly the Delta codeshare rather than Virgin to LA
