What's your budget?
Depends how much you have to spend and how serious you are. If you just want to have the occasional hit with mates you can pickup some good secondhand clubs on fb or eBay. If you think you would like to get a handicap and play in some competitions maybe go and see a PGA professional and get some lessons and get fitted for some clubs. As far as golf balls go all the major brands sell a basic 2 piece ball up to tour quality balls which give you better greenside control. I use the better tour quality balls such as srixon z star, Callaway chromesoft, Titleist Pro V1, TaylorMade tp5. I only buy golf balls when they are on sale and mainly the previous years ball which can often be had for less than $3 a ball.

Anyone got some suggestions for a decent set of clubs. I have nothing right now, but want to get into golf. Played 20 years ago (I’m over 40 now), but never had my own set.
Also, what is with all the different types of balls? What do you guys recommend?
