        I'd assume for the same reason why anyone distributes their games over Steam - to sell more copies.
        But yeah I'm not holding my breath.
        How are they stopping the pirates from playing though?

          Minecraft uses a DRM model that's quite restrictive, actually. You need to login to their server if you want to play, even single player. The pirates have a way around it though, so you'll still be able to find pirated version on the net, if you look around.

          Then again, Steam games have also been pirated all over, so Steam is not piracy-proof either.

          So I heard, that is.

      That's completely wrong. I've put more hours to playing this than most of my $50-$100 games and this keeps getting more free content as time goes on.

      The price of the game is 14.95 euros. I'm assuming the reference to it costing "$10" comes from the fact that 14.95 euros works out to about AU$20 and you get two copies of the game due to the 2-for-1 deal.

      I just bought it, and the actual cost through Paypal was AU$21.16. I received an email with the gift code immediately.

    Gotta love the kindness ozbargainers, splitting the deals.

    Just bought it too, well worth the money. Although i recommend everyone get familiar with mods like CJB Mod, makes the game 123897346123x better IMHO.
