30% off (Discount in Cart) @ Vornado AU

190
Boxing30

The wife saw a Facebook ad for vornado but she didn't take a screenshot

It said 30% off vornado, applied automatically when added to cart. Until 5th Jan. Free shipping when buying over $200

At checkout it showed me that a coupon boxing30 had been automatically applied. Yay, bought 2. In addition to the other two I've had since 2015

Goodluck

  • Are these really effective in circulating the air in a room ? I've always used the cheap $20 oscillating box fans from bunnings.

    • I don't necessarily use it for whole room circulation. I use it to route aircon air to another room and I use it to bounce air off a wall so that I feel refreshed without having a fan blow air directly into my face for a few seconds and then none for a few more second and then a bit more for a few seconds, etc. I get a continuous breeze.

    • If you are referring to air purifiers, I have AC500. Yes they can circulate air well at high settings.

      But its sensors are crap.

They sense cooking smells and consider it pollution, ramping up the fans. True pollution (smoke) does not get sensed and it stays at the low setting.

You could smoke a cigarette right in front of it, and in auto mode its fans stay on the lowest setting. But cooking smells from far away get treated as pollution that needs to be sucked out of the air. These are pleasant cooking smells mind you, though I might be a little bit biased.

If you're referring to the 660, I use it to blow right into my face. It's quite effective at cooling me and better than a pedestal fan. Using it to circulate air in a room though, I can't say I really notice the difference. If you have AC on at the same time it might be a different story. But I find AC on its own is good enough.

  • what exactly did you buy OP?

    • I bought a 660 (my third one in total) and a 533dc. I wanted a smaller one to carry when I visit family that for whatever reason seem to like living in muggy conditions without a fan or for travelling or for the tent/cabin or just for home also .

The 533dc has many speeds whereas the 660 has four.

      • I've got 2 660's and I love them too. I was just asking because 2 days ago I saw the 660 @Costco for $154

        • Doh.
I don't Costco because it's far. But I mainly went in for the 533dc and ended up with another 660 oops. :)

          • @FoxJump: From another site, apparently the 533dc uses between 2w and 40w of power depending on speed.

I hope to get a little inverter and run it off that (and a jumpstarter battery) for camping. I've asked vornado au if it'll be ok with a cheapie MSW inverter. I'm hopeful it's a yes

  • Is that free shipping for $200 after the 30% discount or before?

    • After. If you pay $200+ then shipping free

  • Thanks OP, got the air purifier down from $489 to $199, then 30% off, plus $9.99 shipping = $149.29

Very happy, we've had a lot of trouble with mould and this will help keep the air in the new place clean.

Shouldn’t you get a dehumidifier instead?

      • Oh boy

    • the purifier has been out of stock since this morning. I haven't been able to add it to cart due to no stock.

    • +1

yeah… this is not going to help your mould issue.

  • 660 is cheaper on Amazon (was previously posted).

Picked up one for $144 last night

    • I know. Sadface. I snooze I lose.
