        MIRC world

        • Can i have a +?

    • Any special on body scale?

    • I bought one of these, but I can't understand the instructions. Is there a video or something on how to work this? I don't have any oils at this stage, but could use it as a humidifier, but can't even figure that out. I've never used a diffuser before. Sorry for the noob question.

    • Great, I bought one! I’d really like a second one at this price, any idea when you’ll run another of these sales?

      • why not just buy another one now?

        • It was limited to 1 quantity at this price.

          • +2

@urijah: Oh. I misunderstood. I thought you meant you had previously purchased one in the past, and now wanted another at this price.

In that case, it only takes a minute to make a new amazon account and sign up for a prime trial.

    • +1

Hi, can the light function operate without the diffuser or water added? Such as just a night light only?

      • +2

Hi, yes it can opperate with just a light on!

    • What would be the worst “buy one get one free” sale of all time?

    • Hi, when will you have this sale again?

    • Could you post the manual online? I'm not quite sure how to operate it. I just press multiple buttons and most of the time is works but would be good to have clear instructions.

  • How soon the item can be shipped out ?

  • Can you use it just as a Water Mist Sprayer? Sorry not really heard of these things.

  • Can this be used as a vaporizer?

  • +2

Got one last time. Works well and great value for under 10 bucks.

  • +1

Got one last time as well and also quite pleased with it.

Please send us a message through Amazon and we will refund / replace!

So you decide to come here and downvote a deal rather than contacting the store directly? Really don't understand people these days.

      • -2

Oh please! Don't assume what steps I did and didn't take, or why I felt the need to downvote this deal. I don't understand people these days either 🙄

    • I got one and it's good.

    • Same

    • -1

Same here, survived about 2 hours before it dangerously leaked water through itself, lucky it didnt short circuit/start a fire or something.

      • As I've replied to you here & your complaint in original Deal - it's low voltage so quite safe & not dangerous or a fire risk.

I disassembled a unit to check after your complaint.

I suggested steps you could easily take in minutes to check if fault was with unit or your use of the unit.

All suppliers will have the odd faulty unit. It's how they deal with the problem that matters.

Rep has twice quickly offered you a refund / a free replacement as well your Amazon refund. Can't get much better customer service👍

Seems you just want to imagine dangers & complain.

  • +1

Got one last deal. Love it.

  • +2

I bought this last time the deal was on, the first one leaked so I contacted the company and they have been extremely helpful sending me replacements etc. But with each new one it is still leaking badly, what could I be doing wrong?? (I'm not moving it with water in it)

    • +1

That sounds faulty. Mine doesn't leak, it just drips from the cover if I lift the cover, due to condensation.

    • +4

Replied to another with this question.

Make sure cover is completely down, otherwise mist will dribble down under cover & run under unit. Happened to me yesterday - surprising amount of water came out in short time. It produces a lot of mist.

And don't fill with too much water - see if problem remains with small amount of water & cover tightly down.

To test if unit is leaking - add water & see if it leaks when not operating.

Bought 2 last time. Very happy with them😊
      Astivita are very supportive👍

      • +1

Thanks I'll try again with your advice. I don't believe all these units are faulty I think I'm doing something wrong so happy for any/all advice 🙂

        • Thats what I like to read!
It could be faulty, in which case the Rep is very supportive.

I spent the time to understand these units.

Most would just plug them in & say they're faulty if it didn't work as expected.

So some spillage happened for people!
Try it on a plate, just in case.

          Best of luck👍

The reason I spent time on it… I had a problem no one else found - severe electrical interference blocking some TV reception.
Finally replaced my antenna & cables (was waiting to be done) & problem went away. It was a combination of poor signal strength at my location, & poor cabling. Improved my TV viewing as well😉

    Thanks OP bought one!

Where does everyone buy their essential oils from? Would love to hear your favourites!

    • Can we put perfume in.

    • -1

I've been using doTERRA for years and highly recommend them.

    • +1

      kmart has them cheap.

    • I have a few essential oils from iherb. Now foods brand seems to be ok. If you're looking for a set, then amazon has plenty of essential oils sets that are good value.

  • I think someone mentioned last time this wasn't good to run around pets. Why would this be? I was hoping it would also be a calming effect on her

    • +1

Lots of essential oils are toxic to pets. You can google (Reputable site, not a site that sells oils) your animal type to see what oils may be safe to use. Lots of conflicting info so best to be safe!

  • What oils do you guys use? I use the peppermint

      Hi there.

I grabbed on of these diffusers last time they were on sale at amazon before xmas.
Wasn't sure what oils to get to use with it.
Ended up grabing this kit which has a pretty good selection.

      https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B071FSVWLZ/ref=ppx_yo_d…

The lemon grass and Tea Tree have been pretty good so far.

      • That does look like a nice selection. Thanks for the recommendation.

    • lavender

  • Ordered one

    Thanks OP

  • they make great gifts

  • I bought one last sale, it works great.

  • +2

I bought one of these last time.
Not only did the mist level and light colour settings not work properly, but about an hour into its second use it stopped working and i discovered it had leaked water all through it's own internal wiring/electronics and poured rusty looking silt out, staining the carpet underneath.
Chucked it in the bin immeditately as a safety hazard and got my money refunded from amazon.
    Would not recommened purchasing this.

    • +1

Apologies for that, not sure what has happened there, we would be happy to send you a new unit for free if you like?
      Kind Regards,
      AstiVita

      • Note this leakage around Transducer seal / mounting & staining due to pre-existing corrosion between Transducer mounting & circuit board has now been documented below.

        Some units are definitely defective!!

    • +13

I've disassembled one of these units from last deal, & built other diffusers. So I have an idea of problems & how they work.

Bought 2. Impressed with these units. Great value👍

Ran tests after your previous complaint. You have now increased the range & severity of problems.

It's important to read & understand the manual (a bit hard to understand in parts, but pretty simple) regarding fill level (don't overfill - try with a cup of water to start with to test & get to know Diffuser) & operation of lights.
Mist level switch does not appear to do anything as previously discussed. Currently testing amount of water consumed under both mist settings.

As warned in the manual tipping filled unit to left side of controls WILL spill water into air inlet & into base!
It then flows out of bottom, not affecting any electronics or unit. All that needs to be done is empty unit, leave to dry & clean up spilt water!

      Don't tip or knock Diffuser!
      Overfilling makes matters worse!
First get to know operation with a small amount of water.
Place on a plate to catch any drips.
It's a powerful diffuser with a large output of mist.

There is nothing inside to produce a rusty looking silt, especially from 1 use. It is mainly empty space, a small shiny circuit board, an ultrasonic transducer & a small fan in the base. If any water was to enter unit's base - it would flow straight out.

The problem you describe of water damage / staining seems unlikely with the maximum fill level (500ml).

an hour into its second use it stopped working and i discovered it had leaked water
If there is no water, it automatically shuts down - As discussed in manual.
Should have left to dry & tried again after adding water. A disconnected unit out is no threat - throwing it out to become landfill helps no one.

I replied to your problem in last Deal. With 24V @600mA your fear of fire or electric shock is unfounded.

Suggested to test water leakage without being plugged in. If it doesn't leak - it's an problem with operation..
Leakage will soon show up & is definitely faulty if leaks just sitting there! Then request refund or replacement.

It's a plastic reservoir with a transducer snuggly fitted in hole in base with tight waterproof seal & secured by 3 screws. Pretty unlikely to leak unless a manufacturing fault or cracked reservoir.

As I wrote, the leaking was most likely from incorrect use - overfilling, water running out under cover (if not fitted fully down).

Rep replied to you in previous deal, offered refund & wanted unit returned to solve problem to help others if similar issue arises.

      • Also don't direct vent towards nearby surface. Moisture will collect on surface, possibly causing damage.

      • +1

Hey, I received mine today. Just tried it out an really impressed.

But it seems mine leaks the rusty dirty water from the base too. It actually leaked all over the kitchen bench, which is ok. I think I didn't secure the base well. I filled it with around 3-400ml.

Took a photo. It leaked right on the paper towel which was clean. Doesn't have a smell so might actually be some manufacturing residue.

        https://m.imgur.com/gallery/fWbT03x

Waiting for the unit to dry and will open it apart tomorrow and inspect.

Doesn't seem to be a one off issue.

        • Thanks for that👍

But before you open it up….

After drying, unplug, put on a plate to catch any loss of water.
Place on level surface & carefully half fill the reservoir with some water. (Add a measured amount of water.)

Leave the cover off. Don't touch or tilt it.
(I used to design experiments & write reviews of complex electronics equipment. I can't help myself😉)

Without operating it, see if the water level drops over at least an hour. (Measure remaining amount of water.) And then check for any water on plate. And for brown water stain.

If a leak / brown stain is found - open it up straight away to see where it is coming from.

As I observed there is nothing inside the unit I opened to give a brown stain. Just clean circuit board, transducer, fan, & switches. If water drains out the bottom, it has no where to sit to stain the water. The only thing on the bottom is the fan. It could be lubricant from inside the fan?

So surprised you also observed it. When you open it up - I'd love to know what caused it!

Would be handy to take some photos (as you've apparently done). The Rep is interested. I'm just curious.

I'm sure they will look after you if replacement / refund is needed.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to access your link. Oops! We couldn't find that page

          • @Rather be Travelling: Tried uploading the pic again

Thanks for the added info. I'll check it out.

            Happy New Year!

            • @Suspect420: Thanks - looks like a suspicious brown stain!
Possibly lubricant from the fan if water went through it?

Will be interested in your findings👍

Being in a different time zone, what's this New Year thing😀

              🎉 Enjoy your year ahead🎉

              • +1

@Rather be Travelling: Finally had sometime to open it apart.

So the unit I have received appears to be a return from someone else that has been mishandled, thus the leakage and significant rust across the main circuit board and it's fixings.

The fan is in good order and is not the source of rusty water.

                See pictures.

                https://m.imgur.com/a/zEiLsYF

I will be requesting a replacement / refund via Amazon.

                • @Suspect420: Thanks for solving this mystery👍

                  Good detective work.
Manufacturers sometimes want testers. It doesn't pay well, but you get to try out pre-production models. As one distributed said to me, a truck will regularly back up to your door with your selected electronics😀

                  That's obviously a defective unit!

As I earlier wrote, brown water stain from a single use was unlikely. But it's hardly brown silt as originally described.

So your unit has already been exposed to water (through testing at factory, use, or salt spray during shipping), causing significant corrosion on circuit board. It's been there for a while!

That level of corrosion & staining could only happen when water has sat for some time between the transducer & circuit board.

Water leakage is obviously coming through the mounting / seal of Transducer. (Metal disk at bottom of reservoir.)
                  That's a manufacturing fault!

When water fills reservoir it drains over circuit board (stained by rust) & out base.

That's what my suggested test was designed to determine. If faulty, water would drain around Transducer seal & out base when not in use. If no leakage occurred through Transducer mounting, only explanation likely could be user error.

It's not an issue of incorrect use. (spilling, tipping, etc)

My units had very clean shiny circuit boards. So was doubtful mine could ever have the reported water leakage / rust stain fault.

Your photo shows significant corrosion (LEDs on circuit board, screws on mounting of Transducer)!

So that shows some units are defective.

So all units should be tested for leakage before used
Place on plate, fill with water, look for leakage out bottom & any discoloration.

If leakage occurs, contact merchant for replacement or refund!

  • Thanks got another will use it as a gift

  • Thanks OP.

I've seen those things in use in various shops but never bought one. Good opportunity to try.

  • Got one last sale it's great, has more programmed into the buttons that I expected aswell. Only down side is taking off the lid, and water going everywhere if you don't do it right, easy to avoid.

  • The electricity going through the part where the water is doesn't seem very safe. Touched my finger to it and it stung like mad. Caused the skin to peel off.

    • +1

It is not electricity it is ultrasonic "vibrations"? I believe. do not touch it yes it will sting and dissolve your skeletons bones. Touching the water should be fine even getting close to the ultrasonic pad should be fine. But contact will cause a unique aching feeling

    • +1

Ultrasonic transducers vibrate at a high frequency. And this one is powerful! So touching it should produce harmless but vigorous tingling.

I've built with Ultrasonic transducer modules.
They're used to clean jewellery etc. So could remove dead skin.

electricity going through the part where the water is doesn't seem very safe
You did notice this is a low voltage device powered by a 24V 600mA plug pack?

The vibrating plate of the transducer is electrically isolated from the low voltage power supply.

My general safely rule is to play it safe around water + electricity - just in case. I won't use popular "electric baths" when in Japan.

The manual issues the usual warning against use by children & those with reduced mental or other capability.

If you had concern about safety, why would you do what you did? There is no need to contact the water or transducer when in operation.

Much better to play it safe. But there are many more dangerous things in every home (like we don't want people sticking metal items in electrical sockets!)!

  • Any suggestions on the oil?

    • Manual states "only 100% natural essential oils".
I've clogged up a (different design of) diffuser.

I use a supply I already had of great smelling Perfect Potion essential oils - a long established Australian business, but not cheap.

Bought 2 to use with different type of essential oil blends - one for relaxing in bedroom, one for simulation / thinking in office.

      • You can use:
        KBAYBO Essential Oil
        Villarosa™ Deluxe

        These are from Amazon

  • Dang it. I wish I still had prime. $5 delivery fee is more than half the price of item itself

    • True…they are clearly voluntary oils

    • Not a valid Neg by voting guidelines

As well as ability to make the room smell nice using various scents, this unit is a Humidifier & multicolor night light with timer👍

Good value for $9 & don't even need to use it with essential oils if you choose!

There are no claims of any benefits from using essential oils, so your scam claim does not belong here!

Besides an essential oil is simply…
"a natural oil typically obtained by distillation and having the characteristic odour of the plant or other source from which it is extracted" eg eucalyptus oil.
Essential oils are a NOT a scam!

Some claims of the therapeutic benefit of their use can be dubious. That's Aromatherapy. There are studies into benefits of some essential oils for some conditions.
Some products are possibly overpriced or fake.
But that has nothing to do with this Deal!

    • Am using this Diffuser with drops of vanilla essence in kitchen - smells nice.

Could try with perfumes. Not a recommended use, but worth a try.
Especially so if you think extracted natural oils are so terrible!

Of course perfumes are a scam too😉

  • Ah damn missed out. Purchased one for myself last deal and love it. Only thing I dont like is that it makes a constant dripping sound. I turned it on without the cover and noticed that it spashes the water which then hits the lid.

    • +2

It's back on today, 0% claimed.

  • Got one, Thanks… hope it works well.

  • Works well as a colourful glowing night light (operates with mist off). Can be set to transition between colours or set to fixed colour. Stays on until turned off.
Tempted to get a few more…

  • Bought another one as a gift.
My first one has been operating without issues.
