  I thought it was going to be one of those useless ones with the blades like the herb grinders but this uses conical burrs so it should be decent.

    It's not too bad, but I can't get a really coarse grind out of it which I need for my cold brew.

      There are usually shims under the bottom burr you can remove if you want to make it more coarse.

        Thanks I see one shim, but can't seem to unscrew the nut. It's tightened like a mofo.

          @TEER3X: its a reverse thread (ie. clockwise to loosen).

          You might need to grab the burrs with some pliers if its too tight to hand hold - in that case make sure you use a piece of leather or cloth or something between the burrs and pliers to avoid damaging the burrs.

  It’s very good, one minor flaw is you might need to shake the spout as ground coffee gets stuck

    It’s not a big deal, but a design flaw.

    Used it for years. Great grinder, especially after adding another shim.

    Since upgraded to the breville smart grinder. Great machine!! Worth every cent

        Both really, but if you can afford the extra $$’s then get the breville smart grinder. It’s very worth it.
