You'd have to pay me to fly with United.

    • Just curious, what makes you say that? I haven't flown with them before so don't know what United are like.

Well as long as you're not a doctor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Express_Flight_3411_inc…) then you'll be alright :)

Basically, crap customer service in general, rude staff and just a bad airline. On an 8hr flight, our rows entertainment wasn't working. When we asked for help, the flight attendant told us it is what it is and to live with it. Another lady then yelled saying "that's not right" to be told if she didn't stay quiet she'd be removed from the flight. Rude, curt and overtly aggressive and abusive of their role. Had that been any other airline they would apologise, off free food/drink and genuinely been more sympathetic.

As above, I'd never, ever fly them again. Not worth it. I'll happily give any other airline my money and pay more.

      • Not sure if they have changed since 5 years ago, but for a non-budget airline they have the audacity to charge for food and luggage. Service was atrocious and legroom/entertainment was non-existent. Worst flight from LA to Melbourne.

    • Can't agree more, worst flight experience ever in their 'premium economy', worst food, worst service, worst in flight entertainment, worst assistance in missed connecting flights (staff at the counter made us pay for missing a connecting flight, but got it refunded when calling customer service 5,356 times)

Pay the extra money for a reputable carrier. Save yourself the pain, it will be well worth it.

  • @OP, Nice one! This price and combo is nothing less than witchcraft.
Any chance you can find something similiar for the following itinerary.
27/5-3/6 in Connecticut. ideally BDL but JFK ok.
    3/6-10/6 in Cancun
a week in Miami either side of that.
    departing - MEL

    • Maybe PM the rep for that kind of stuff :)

  • Any way to have them just skip the LA bit?
