  • I hadn't heard of this so looked around a little on their website - some very unhappy customers in this forum thread… http://support-remote.splashtop.com/entries/391705-can-t-acc…

  • Thanks but price in title please.

  • The iPad version went as low as 99cents before. I would say, wait for that and stalk AppShopper

  • Was actually free for the iphone 94 days ago http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/44852

Downloaded it, used it once, novelty wore off, was glad I didn't pay for it, deleted it.

    • Exact same thing I did!

The android version from the US Amazon store.

Here's how to get a US amazon account, not sure if it still works anymore. http://www.enfotainer.com/2011/05/get-free-amazon-apps-from-…

4.3/5 stars on the android market, mainly for the same reason as the iOS versioin in that it can't be used unless your pc is already turned on and logged in, making it not very useful.

  • when splashtop first started it was 1.99 for the ipad version lol

  • I picked this up for around $1 for ipad a few months ago. For that price it's fairly handy. It works fairly well over wifi, but over 3G it does struggle. I'd say at $19.99 it wouldn't be worth it, but for $5 it's not too bad if that's what you're after.

  • +1

alternatively setup and try TeamViewer - available for PC/Mac/Linux etc, and free for personal use.

  • Works well on ipad. Definitely worth $5.

  • This is a brilliant app on the iPad, I'd even pay $20 for it if I had to.

However, it has been cheaper…..see pricing history here….

I grabbed it when free for iPhone. Great app and does what it says very well. Have used it at home and work.

  • It's often on sale for 99c… I'd rather wait until then…

  • unless its free im not trying it. Ive tried 2 remote desktop apps on iOS and theyve both been utter rubbish. Cant see any others being much better unless a lot of people say so.

    • Depending on what your issues have been, I've found that this pretty much works flawlessly over wi-fi. Granted I'm just using it to queue up downloads, but definitely does what it advertises.

  • I bought it when it was last on special, and it's the best app for accessing your computer that I have found.
I don't think any of the others do video and audio as well.
I was pleasantly surprised, and it even remote access worked quite well (currently in beta)
