Update: Light blue Back in stock! Here is a great price on a super light day pack. Folds down to nothing. I often carry one in my bigger backpack, so if I want to do a side trip without the big pack I can carry some basic supplies. Also works as a day pack. On Camino, I used this for day excursions and as a shopping bag when I went to the supermarket. They have no padding in the back and thin straps so don't fill it with water bottles or it's going to hurt if going far. I love these.

The light blue was cheaper than the others. The other colours are still a bargain. Don't forget to use your rewards program!

      It's a handy hikers combo. I like to pack hike to the base of Mt.Howitt and set up 'base camp' the next day hike to the summit and further if time allows and back to base camp at night. We just take these for the kids to carry their food and a small water bottle and I'm the water packhorse with an emptied bigger pack and a 10L water bladder for the day as that's a full dry day trip.

        Which 10L water bladder do you have? After a day away with the family where we carted a load of bottles (or rather I did, they just drank from them) I've been thinking of getting something more appropriate.

          Hydration packs require a good cleaning protocol. I find kids love them but dont lok after them. Plus they taste a bit plasticy to me. And you have no idea how much is left until it stops suddenly.

      Nicely spotted. With GST its $3.75 delivered and 5 grams more. But I find different designs can be good as you can have 'different' ones for different kids, or one might hold certain equipment better. For the price you can't go wrong.

    How see-through is this pack? I found most ultralites don't hide contents well for safer travel in cities

      We bought a few when we were on holiday a while back. The black/slate grey version was impossible to see through but with the lighter ones (grey, white) you can get a decent idea of what's inside. The blue one was kind of in between in terms of visibility.
