The Game Changers is basically a propaganda movie with cherry picked evidence to promote a plant based diet.

    • All of these "food movies" are similar, how else but hysteria, are you going to sell a movie about food!

      Some upcoming titles:

      • Sugar: Hitler's Secret Stimulant?

      • Better Dead Than Artificial Red!

      • Gluten Killed My Family and Ate My Dog!

saw it on netflix it's just a vegan propaganda movie, just eat both like we're made to do and get all the health benefits.

    • I hear producer James Cameron invested millions in pea protein production, so indeed do your homework on this one as exposing vested interests on this one can be a real eye opener on what we may refer to as a documentary. I often see it pop up on Netflix but you couldn't pay me to watch it. There's a bunch of talk shows that have gone on to openly criticise it for exactly what it is.

Good movie well worth a watch if you try and keep an open mind. Well made and produced, directed by James Cameron.

Most will try and dismiss it because some of the evidence provided is questionable. But then again isn't all nutritional advice we have been give over the last 50 years questionable?

    • You're right.

When the evidence is portrayed closer to 'fact' than 'case study' packaged in an entertaining and one-sided documentary lots of people won't do their own research on the topic.

I agree with the other comments about the movie being heavily biased, but even I've had positive take away from the film after spending a little time doing my own research.

    • Only if you’re referring to all those articles that invariably come out about “Red wine is great for the heart!” then “red wine is actually terrible!” “Chocolate keeps you healthy!” “Regularly eating chocolate is bad” “Red meat will lead to an early death!” “Red meat is a scapegoat!”

They’re usually written up and sensationalised based on “recent studies” that haven’t had the chance to be followed up and repeated. Dieticians would have a fairly good idea about nutrition without all of that sensationalised nonsense, but the crux is usually “Eat food, mostly vegetables, not too much.”

  • There's great discussion on Joe Rogan's podcast on this movie. The initial debunk to the movie, then James himself (the movie's narrator / producer) comes on the podcast to debate the debunker for those that are interested in hearing more. I also suggest watching / reading Layne Norton's response to Game Changers, of which he's made 2. 1) initial response to the movie 2) response to Joe Rogan's debate episode with James and Chris.
