    Yay

    Dear valued Garmin Customer,

Earlier today, Garmin Australasia Pty Ltd became aware that a third-party released an invalid discount code in error, without any authorisation from Garmin. Once the invalid code had been identified, we then took appropriate steps to notify our customers that related orders were to be cancelled. This action was taken to avoid any negative impact from the full item cost being charged without notice. Garmin values all of its customers and our commitment has always been to support them with the highest quality support available. To this end and having reviewed all of the available information, Garmin Australasia Pty Ltd will now commence processing all current outstanding orders that utilised this code and apologises for any inconvenience caused through this situation.

If you require further information regarding your order, please contact Garmin Australasia Product Support on 1800 235 822.

    • LOL what a roller coaster this has been. Well done Garmin for honoring the discount.

      • So are they honoring the purchases or cancelling them?

        • +1

They cancelled them but then decided to honour them. Can't believe I missed out by half an hour! Hey ho..

    • WHAT!!!! my orders got cancelled!!! reversal for me too… very classy act from Garmin

    • I wonder if they read OzBargain or if

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/8217073/redir

      Or someone else complained

Or it's all a marketing ploy.

OR they ran the numbers and were still in a huge profit so they went ahead.

      OP's name is GARMINator… hmmmmmm…

Just got "the code you entered is not valid"

Trying to use it on the fenix6 solar, https://buy.garmin.com/en-AU/AU/p/641375/pn/010-02157-22

  • This code is weird… Didn't work on a vivofit Jr, but then it did work when I added another item, so I thought perhaps it had a minimum spend.
But then I tested on a cheap replacement band, and it works.

    • worked for me on both jr fit and a 735xt

    • also, it only seems to work on 2 items in a cart.

  • Wow so cheap

  • Thanks - ordered a replacement band I needed for $22 instead of about $35

  • +1

Got a Varia RTL510 for $150. Will never find it cheaper than that

    • What an awesome device….pity not compatible with my old AF Garmin 500 lol

  • Ordered fenix 6 pro. Thanks op

  • I don’t need to upgrade my fenix yet but this is such an amazing deal!

  • Amazing deal.

  • +1

    Phenomenal price - thank you! Got a 945 and a Fenix 6 :)

  • +9

    Where's the code come from?

    • +6

      Does it matter?

    • +24

God I'm sick of the negging culture taking over Ozb. This is a totally valid question as there have been discount codes in the past cancelled due to over-use outside of the intended market.

      • +1

Sorry went to lunch. A facebook running group.

and from where..? I don't know

      • +3

"I don't personally want to see this comment for XYZ reason so I'm going to hide it with negs"

If it's adding to the discussion, leave it alone!

      • +1

Relax. You can see plenty of youtube videos about people helping the elderly, dying infants etc.. and you still get negs on those. Its the universe balancing each other. The Light and the Dark force. The Jedi and the Sith. The Red and the Blue saber. The Rebels and the Imperials. The.. OK, I'll stop now

  • is 50% off vivo jr a good price? brings it down to under $50? I don't know what the going rate are for these.

  • Copped a HRM - Having to try very hard not to go crazy. Have a feeling they may cancel these orders…..

  • Thanks OP, amazing discount, hopefully not cancelled

  • +1

In the market for a fitness tracker and had narrowed down to Fitbit Versa 2 -or- Samsung Active 2, but this suddenly makes Garmin very appealing

  • been looking to get a fenix 6s for a while, amazing deal! thank you so much!

  • Drops the Descent MK1 Dive Computer down to $699.50. RRP elsewhere seems to be around ~$1100 so some de(s)cent savings there.

As a dive computer there's no air integration option which is pretty common at that price range but you do get trimix up to 100% O2, GPS w/ mapping as well as fitness functions. So depends on what kind of diving you do, it could be a good buy.

      • +3

        Afterpay is evil.

        • +2

Why is that? I find I manage my money a lot better with it. I am a full time student and don't have tons of cash stashed away for frivolous purchases. Not really sure why I got 6 negs just for saying I'd like afterpay. Geez people are judgemental af on this board.

          • @surfsiren85: Because it's evil?

You got the negs because you stated you would refuse a deal (because it didn't have a stupid payment plan lol) and used that to mention how you already have dive equipment… So you can manage your air supply but not your finances ;)

            • +1

@TogTogTogTog: No one will explain to me why it's evil. I personally think getting interest free payments over 2 months is a great deal. I have a generic and bottom of the line dive computer and a second hand smartwatch, so yes, and upgrade would have been lovely but not something I could afford as a lump sum out of pocket. People on here are actually horrible and I think I will refrain from commenting in future, the keyboard warriors can pick on someone else.

              • @surfsiren85: I'm not going to go heaps into it and people should be capable of investigating things for themselves but it encourages bad spending.

Recent studies I read say ~2/3rds impulse buy things they shouldn't (such as a dive watch), while 1/3rd miss one or more payments.

So even though it's 'interest free', it's clearly still in AfterPay's interest.

                • @TogTogTogTog: Well I've been using it for a year and never missed a payment. I guess it comes down to if you are responsible with your money and able to live within your means. For me, it's been great.

                  • @surfsiren85: If you're responsible with your money and live within your means you definitely shouldn't be using Afterpay. It's functionally just turning a single payment into 'four easy payments' and charging you if you screw up.

                    • +2

@TogTogTogTog: I have afterpay linked to an mortgage offset account that has a visa debit card attached.

I buy something with after pay, put full amount in the mortgage offset, they take their payments out over 8 weeks. I save interest over that period.

Must be missing how I'm getting screwed.

  • Tried it with the cycling computers (Edge 530 & 130) and it didn't seem to work. :-(

    • Works on the 830 and 1030 though

    • +1

      Works fine for me

Try a different browser or add multiple items then remove them in cart.

      • Mother Trucker! I've tried to two browswer on my computer, multiple items. I'm trying the 530 because I'd be all over it at that price (I've got an ancient 500).

        • +2

Tested again in incognito mode, and it works fine.

Just straight up add to cart, then add the coupon code.

          • +1

@RichardL: Went into incognito mode and it worked. Thank you!

    • That's weird. Edge 130 worked for me. $149.50

      • Tried all the suggestions. No worky for me. Would have gotten a nice 830.

    • got it to work with the edge 530 unit only

  • +1

Amazing deal, too bad I got nothing I want to buy :(

  • thanks for sharing.

  • +3

I remember buying a Garmin 220 forerunner for about $300. What happened to the price? $1000 for a watch?

  • I am seeing similar prices in Rebel and JB HiFi online stores.
Checked prices for Garmin Forerunner 735XT and Forerunner 45S

    • JB has some models discounted but not all. Can't see any at Rebel, can you link?

  • +1

Just found out the Vivoactive 4S and other watches have a period tracker!

  • Wow - people are going to grab so much stock to on sell via ebay, gumtree etc

Just bought a vivofit jnr 2 for the kid

  • There doesn't seem to be any dashcam with front and rear camera from Garmin

      • +1

        Hi Thanks for the reply!
I think this is front view + passenger view.. I'm looking for one that covers the front + rear (back view)
Perhaps I need to get 2 x dashcams and install it as it says on the website it can connect via wifi up to 4 cameras

  • $64 for a Vivofit Jr. 2, thanks OP (will be surprised if honoured)

  • Thanks, OP!!!

Just ordered the fēnix® 6X Pro Solar, Titanium Carbon Gray!!!!

    • -1

How did you get it? I only get "find a dealer" option.

      • Sorry to hear that. I did it as a normal order (location Brisbane), it went through like a charm.
They haven't taken the money from my account yet, but I got the confirmation email and all.
        Also free shipping!

  • Thanks, got the dash cams, top and lowest end
    $300+ savings!

  • Thanks, upgraded my 3 year old Vivoactive HR to the Vivoactive 4 :)

Thought about doing the 830 Cycling computer, but my Edge 500 is still working well enough.

    • Im in the same boat with the Edge 500 - Been looking at a new computer and cannot work out what the 500 isnt doing that the others will. Besides wireless activity upload….Everything else though. Does the job. Its a beast

      • Only thing I can really think of is the mobile connectivity and maps - not sure it is worth spending $300 just for that.

    • I got a 530 but just bought a 830. Hey man it’s Ozb!

  • Thanks for this! Just ordered the Dash Cam Mini, great discount!

  • thats awesome. got a Vivoactive 4s for $275. Thank you!
