    Havent used Vaya (post-paid service) in a while but when I was with them they werent bad.
    Though at that time they were still an independent operator. (not part of Amaysim)

    They started removing cheaper plans and forcing people onto higher priced plans and also started introducing strange new (unjustified) charges which most people were not happy about.
    So I moved from Vaya to Kogan (prepaid) and have never looked back.
    My whole family eventually followed me over.

    So that speaks for itself

  • I was with Vaya for awhile, as they were cheap when all I wanted was unlimited calls & text with minimal data. In that regard & as a service they did an apt job with decent reception, as long as your not going rural.

    I wouldn’t hugely recommend them though as they have a non-existent customer service if you ever run into an issue, it took 24 hours to port from them & they charged me an extra month of service half way through the current month when I ported out.

    These days they’re not really any cheaper (if you shop around, port in/out & take advantage of new customer deals) & you can get better deals with the actually telcos who at least have some level of customer service in my opinion.

  • Ahh I didn't know this.. I just switched our family over to Jeanie.

    Hmm interesting.

    As of today, Jeenee's "Make a Difference" program has been ended, along with the discounted phone plans it made available for seniors and Australians living with disabilities.

    So typical of some big listed company to come along and wreck CSR programs in the name of shareholder returns. I will not be renewing my contract after it runs out…

    • Yep this is what attracted me too Jeenee in the first place. Now there's no incentive to stay.

  • I don't know what Amaysim's goals are but personally these acquisitions are destroying value in their company.

  • Received my migration notification today.
    "Please note: In 14 days from now the Vaya Terms will apply."

  • My Jeenee $22/month 6gb plan is being transitioned to Vaya 18gb, what have others been offered?

      I was on the $14.95 plan with unlimited calls/texts and 5gig data. They are giving me the same but with 7gig data.

        I'm on the $45 Pennywise SIM (23gb) – 12 Mth (upgrade) 20% off

        So paying $36 per month currently.

        They've offered me an extra 22GB, so 45GB total for $35 + $500 international calls.

        Will hang around until they start hiking the prices I guess.

      I am on the lowest $9.90 Pennywise 1.2GB got offer an additional 800MB.

      • I got the same offer. On my second $9.90 plan I had a 10% discount. They honored that and upped the data to 2GB also

    • Same here.

    I'm on the $12.50 5gb plan and been offered a 6 gb plan for the same price.

  • Quite happy with this new plan both my numbers are getting upgraded

    $14.9 2gb —-> 7gb

    $22 8gb ——-> 18gb

  • I don't know if I am imagining this but ever since the switch, I feel like the network coverage has gotten worst. Places where I was able to use the internet is now struggling to load.

  • I had a look. Jennee plans are 30 days, Vaya are 30 days and Amanyasim are 28 day plans. Hopefully were not short changed 2 days further down the track

    • Jeenee plans weren't 30 days. They were monthly.

      I assume Vaya is the same.
