According to feedback the ANC is weaker than Sony 1000XM3, but much better than Sony CH700N & New XB900N.

Product has the same design features as 1000XM3 flagship:
Same BT codecs (Apt-X / LDAC etc), touch controls, DSEE HX up-scaling, Sony Headphone Connect App support, Ambient-mode / Quick-attention using touch).

Firmware update is also available for Amazon Alexa support.
(Warning: update may be permanent)
Otherwise default firmware should be able to trigger Siri / Google Assistant by holding function button.* (Citation needed)

Awesome headphones - I have these and can't recommend enough, providing you're okay with the colour. The sound is fantastic over LDAC and, especially, wired in active mode.

In my opinion, they look way cooler than the 1000X series too and have better sub-bass, which makes sense, as the 1000X was originally released to go head to head with Bose and the h.ear on series were Sony's answer to the Beats.

    • Thanks for sharing your experience.

In my opinion Sony’s XB series (Extra Bass) were intended to compete with the Beats market. They have an XB Noise canceling model too.

      • I can see where you're coming from but I'm not convinced to be honest. The XB is series competes in a different price range to Beats, and Sony also have the same XB line of speakers - a market where Beats doesn't play.

        • I am just going by the ‘stereotypical’ bass boost on Beats headphones.
I am aware of the H.ear On & XM3 having Extra Bass option in the App settings.
Disregarding price I just thought XB would be most similar in stereotypical sound to Beats (muddy overly boosted bass).

I have a pair of these and I am very happy. they look cool, the SQ and the noise cancelling is awesome that I cannot bear an air flight without it now, battery life is great.
The only problem is not in the top rank of comfortability. It becomes a bit smothering over 1 hr and too warm to wear in summer.
