Is the video better quality than my $2500 iPhone 11 Pro Max camera or just a little bit?

  • Effective Sensor Size: 13.056mm x 7.344mm

    • Looks like micro four thirds lens so probably small sensor too.

Lol, its a typo. 17 x 13 mm for mft.

      • Thanks. Was wondering why people were paying so much for basically a big smartphone.

        • That would be for the real lens mount, the SDI and optical fibre connectors, and all the other studio-oriented things. The sensor is a pretty small proportion of the total cost.

      • No, it's not a typo. All the Blackmagic Studio and Micro Cinema cameras use "Super 16" sensors - they're not full-frame MFT, so there's a ~2.9x crop factor when using MFT lenses. For larger sensors, see the Ursa and Pocket Cinema cameras instead.

  • I was looking for the mic. It's out of stock.
