I know my feet are larger than average but why is Aldi stopping shoe sizes at 11 in mens these days.

    • Bigger issue is shoe width, they don't do EE or EEEE ……rather pay extra and get shoes that fit. I had a pair of these also shoes, length was ok but too narrow and ended up in bin after a while.

      • This is the first I've heard of being able to buy different widths of shoe. Please, do go on. Any brands in particular I should look at?

New Balance is my favourite sneaker brand that has width options. Some of the available widths are D, 2E and 4E. For example https://www.newbalance.com.au/men/shoes/running/?prefn1=widt…

          • @serrg: asic used to do wide as well…1\2 sizes are often wider i.e. 11.5 is often an 11 in wide (so I've been told)

          • @serrg: Yes new balance 624 come in 3 widths and 2 colours, black leather or white leather …got mine from rebel in EEEE, they also had EE and M ( normal)

        • Some brands also may naturally fit better due to their design depending on the shape of your foot.
For example in running shoes Hoka and Altra both have a wide toebox that you would normally need to go to a wide shoe size in say an ASIC to match.

And why are womens shoes starting at size 7?!

    • And mens only down to 8. Always hard to find size 7.

  • Anyone had these long term and can comment on durability?

I bought one during the last sale, used as office shoes. I would say it is pretty comfy. No problem for 8 hours of wear. Unsure how it will hold out if it's for 8hrs of standing/walking though. Good buy for $20

    • Had them for 2 years. No problem with durability, probably would last for 5. The only issues is that the soles are light, mesh is light, but the sides should be low rise.

  • I missed out on the AldiBoosts and now I'm seriously regretting it.

  • I purchased the Crane Premium Mens Runners a year or two ago & they have been the best sneakers I've had.
I wonder if they will get these back at some stage?

  • So lo 9 hours 51 min agonew

Mate where have you been living? The most important factor in buying any shoes is the width of the fitting. Most Aussies (Anglo's) have wide feet,so at least a EE fitting if not EEE,and buying a bigger size just means the shoe will be longer and not necessarily wider.

  • im still using my Aldiboost pretty much for every day activities and yes ifor $20 it's worth it.

  • grabbed a pair this morning - they fit really well and have good heel support - only negative is the ball of the foot area is thin and has very little cushioning - so ignore "offers a similar feel to walking on a soft forest trail"

  • I have a pair of these from 2 years ago. The sole is similar to thongs and the upper is a mesh. I would like to see the upper a bit lower profile.

Its a step up from when you would wear wearing thongs in my view. Not as nice as Sketchers.

Alternatives would be Converse Chuck Taylor (low rise canvas is good in summer) or https://www.amazon.com.au/Trail-Running-Minimalist-Barefoot-…
