Brand new Samsung UA55D7000 LED for $2576 + Shipping (RRP $3799)

70

Factory 2nds have this brand new (e.g. not a factory 2nd) 55D7000 LED for $2576 + shipping ($45 for Sydney) but local pickup is also available. Extended warranty (3 years) for $339 also available.

Looks like a decent price to me. Don't think I've seen it cheaper anywhere else. One place has it for $2574 but when extended warranty and shipping is added, it works out to be over $100 more than factory 2nds due to cheaper shipping and cheaper extended warranty.

OMG, have you done any research on that company? If not, then i suggest you do before you buy anything there.
      Just a couple of examples:

      • some people have bad exeriences and some are good. ive bought more then 10x $2k+ TV's and 35+ wallmounts from them for friends and family and never had a problem (price matched to them all to cheaper prices aswell).

the first thread on whirlpool was just poor communication skills from them as that stock date changed from samsung affected most retailers - Lesson Learnt - Never Pre-Order online always buy Instore/Online-In-Stock…..

for the 2nd thread - read the 4th comment, its totally true.

"It's called backlight bleeding and it occurs in all LCD TVs, not so noticeable in some and very noticeable in others (such as yours) and varies from batch to batch so two of the same model TVs can be different in terms of the amount of backlight bleeding. Don't want white patches? Should've gotten a plasma"

hell even this tv will have it to some extent….Lesson Learnt, buy a plasma if your in a dark room and dont want backlight bleeding.

  • It's not really an LED, it just has LED edge lighting…

    • it uses LED lights to light the picture, so its an LED. they just forgot to add in "Edge Lit" LED. lol. typical marketing

Hmm I wish Samsung would launch one of those promos where you get a free remote or smaller TV or blu-ray or whatever

I believe both Sony and Samsung dropped their wholesale prices for LED TV's at the start of August.

The price drops are hitting some retailers before others, expect other retailers prices on this unit to come down in the next few weeks….

For the same price I would purchase the Sony equivalent. It gives better picture quality and better 3D viewing experience.

    • Are you kidding or do you work for Sony?

      • No I dont work for Sony. See my comment below and do your research on Sony KDL55HX820 before giving negatives. Lame

  • Was looking at getting one of these or the Sony KDL55HX820, struggling though… Might go to JB and do another side by side comparison.

Anyone recommend either or something else worth taking a look at?

    • Sony KDL55HX820 is the model I was referring to. Side by side comparison shows Sony TV gives better picture quality and better color. Price wise it's the same or in some cases KDL55HX820 comes out cheaper. I know this because one of my friend recently bought this and we made a comparison.

Before people gives negatives, please do your research first.

A little hesitant to order from 2ndsworld as they massively messed up my order. Finally waiting for a refund.
