Just went to my local in Forest lake, qld who have heaps available for $0.50 I've attached a photo too , unsure if statewide
Do you have receipt that you can share? Thanks
These were $2 (non-special price) last year. I bought a couple of them. They are not a bad cup seeing as they are plastic however they have a tendency to leak when tipping to drink as the seals are not that great.
In short, if you wear business clothes to work, avoid.
I've never had hot coffee from a plastic cup, does it affect the taste at all?
Not that I have found. I have a plastic keepcup brand one. I find that the cup itself after repeated use starts to permanently smell like coffee/plastic even after washing which is a bit meh. I'll get a glass one eventually when they get significantly discounted.
Fun path of figuring out what the hell cup works:
1) plastic - gets a coffee smell eventually, also not super insulating.
2) insulated metal - good thermal. Tastes atrocious.
3) glass keepcup brand - good taste. Terrible insulation
4) double wall glass - current cup. Baristas overestimate the cup size, so don't put in enough milk, so a fw becomes 3/4 topped up.
Currently looking for an externally insulated glass interior cup!
I find the thing that affects the taste the most from cups like this is the dishwasher you're inevitably going to throw it in.
Are these the bamboo cups with melamine that leach dangerous amounts of formaldehyde and melamine?
Target at northlands vic had similar but glass reusable up the front of the store as you walk in
