Microsoft eBay store also has some good bundles at the moment.

  • I can't seem to get that code to work:( Has anyone else had luck with it today?

    • I did just half an hour ago

      • Weird!? I might try again later.

        • Tried again and it’s working. Did you change country on app? Used this code before?

          • @Pricebeat: I haven't used the code before but come to think of it, I did have my VPN running but I think that was in Sydney.

            • @pupdog: OK. I tried again on a different computer and network and that code still isn't recognised. However, I noticed another code - POOL3 - which only gives me a $14 discount:( Obviously I didn't go ahead with that purchase.

              • @pupdog: Code PUNNET is for eBay plus members only

                • @Bhot: I see. I didn't notice that. Mystery solved. I've already had my free plus trial.

At this point I’d save the $478 to put towards a Series X in less than a year…

    • +2

But would it come with an extra controller, a game, possible $20 credit, a less than year worth of gaming and more importantly at this price; if not would you buy it on day one?

    • -1

Depending on launch price, there’s not a huge incentive for me to jump on Series X day one with Microsoft’s approach to cross gen development (i.e. no Series X exclusives for 2+ years).

      • (i.e. no Series X exclusives for 2+ years)

Except third party will dry up quick.

        • And forgo the vast majority of the Xbox install base and all the revenue that comes with it when Microsoft themselves aren’t even doing that? You must be kidding.

          • -1

@aja12: No, not kidding, basing all past changes in video game generations. You'll probably 12 months of post Series X releases then it will be shovelware.

Companies always spin the line of supporting past consoles for 'foreseeable future' so they don't end up with a bunch of unsold consoles.

@PainToad: Hence why Sony is the best when it comes to support of old consoles.
Btw, you'd be wise to put that $ toward PS5 instead of uselessbox/satanicbox

@halil23: Joke? Sony basically drops their old consoles the earliest moment they can

@buckster: Are you serious?!? If so, then I pity you…
You clearly never seen the 1st xbox then, it last as long as a blink of an eye! It's ok if you miss it, I mean it was that fast that not many saw it anyway!
And now m$ is repeating that with xbot one.

                  • +2

@halil23: Dude I have nearly every console known to man (literally still have them) I have no idea what your on about… My ps4 can play 0 of my ps3 games… 80% of my 360 games are on my xbox one console… So not sure why you wouldn't consider that as support… Old consoles are only useful if u can't play the game on anything else and I think M$ approach is better than dual console game support for longer periods… It's ok if your a Sony fanboy.. I'm a Nintendo fanboy sorta.. But I'd give props to M$ for their backward compatibility on the xbox one and I'd say they'll continue it with xbox whatever it's called…

    • Don't you know not to give your opinion in the comments.. Lol gave you a + since I agree with you and the new MS console has a good chance to play the current xbox games.. Best part of my xbox one was being able to transfer majority of my 360 games over and I think they'll do the same but this time straight off the bat and specially if you have live membership…
