  • They are still there. Just call their store. 07 3344 7100

  • There feedback on both here and eBay is not great though

  • Can't seem to see any items in their ebay store anymore either. Hopefully they haven't gone bust, as I'm waiting on a delivery.

  • they're on CNY holiday mode

  • I got my delivery a few days ago and contacted them on Thursday (which they replied to). Dunno what's going on with their listings though.

  • FTC.COM.AU is OFFLINE, I cant get it to come up. I see last week they had a settlement that cost them money. Im thinking they might have scammed the cash from that last ebay sale

somethings wrong… prices were too low to be legit

    • Where did you see that about the settlement?

      • I googled the news on them…

the websites back online Tuesday but it seems it has new owners and look

as for ebay, guess we will see feedback as to if they fullfill orders

  • Posted this under one of the 3900x sales. Basically I lodged an Ebay/Paypal Resolution Request a couple of days ago. I got one message from them that due to the amount of orders there was a delay. I asked for a time frame for the delivery and they said 28th/29th. They did not provide me with an updated tracking number from the original Sendle one, with no package drop off. They also don't answer the phone number stated previously in this post. I am concerned that in the last few days they have removed the items from their Ebay store and that their website is no longer accessible.

  • Good question - according to ASIC it looks like they just kept their trading name but the PTY LTD has been cancelled (not in of itself an issue) - can anyone that got an Invoice let us know what the ABN given is ?

    • Here ya go :)

New -> ABN: 85 600 393 191 now called HHJC TRADING PTY LTD (lol)

      Old -> ABN: 95 101 309 273 Original FTC COMPUTERS PTY LTD

      • That was 5 years ago and the business name "FTC Computers" is still the same.

I placed an order on the 15th and it still hasn't been sent. Given public holidays and chinese new year I was expecting delays but not this long.

I'm not sure why they are suspended on ebay but I'd say its for the negative reviews they keep getting for marking items as sent on ebay when they create the parcel order, but not dropping the parcels off till weeks later. They also say they have stock on ebay when they clearly don't. When people follow up orders they admit they took too many orders and are delayed in fulfilling them.

Their site is often offline but I suspect they could be turning the hosting server on when they get in and off when they leave as its often down before 9am. It's up now.

As for them having a "settlement that cost them money", I can't find anything (post a link if you have one).

They are just selling way more than they have and are then scrambling to get stock.

Be good if people posted here that they have recieved their orders in the last couple of days so we at least know they are still fulfilling orders.

    • Same, ordered on the 15th. It's now the 30th and my sendle tracking says they are still waiting for dropoff. Sent them an ebay message today to see what happens.

  • Man I'm in the same boat. Been waiting on my 2080 super I ordered from them about 11 days ago. When I went to start the refund process they sent an invoice with the Sku number on it but that's it. Their courier is still waiting for the parcel apparently. I'm going to hold out and hopefully it gets delivered by the end of this week but I'll never be ordering from them again. I've also read they have sold used graphics cards for mining bitcoin as new cards. They're scumbags it seems.

  • Just received my 2080 ti trio today, ordered 15 Jan.

    • How much did you spend on it? Aside from the stock issues the prices are ridiculously good

      • Glad you got yours, hopefully that means they are still getting through all the 2080 orders they received via the ebay promotion.
I ordered an MSI 2080 on the 15th as well. Still marked as "Awaiting the parcel at the drop off location" so hasn't been given to the courier yet.

I paid $890 with codes which required you to be an ebay plus member.

        • +1

Mine got refunded with no warning or message from them. So don't be so sure on that.

Hey I know some of you are calling our store, which is in Middle Park about the Ebay orders, and just to let you know we are a repair shop only and dont have access to any Ebay Orders or details. It is always best to contact FTC SunnyBank via the phone or email 07 3344 7100 [email protected], I know they have people working on the phones, but the warehouse where the parts are shipped is in a different location than the store phone.
I dont believe Jeff, Henry, Jason and the other guys are out to deceive anyone or take you for a ride. They just dont have a massive team like Umart/MSY etc.

    Cheers
Steve Owner From Middle Park FTC - Again not associated with FTC Sunnybank or the Ebay store.

    • Thanks Steve,

I guess some of us are just worried handing over a significant amount of money for parts with little to no reply. I have read that you run your shop well if anyone else here was wondering/looking to shoot the messenger.

      • Thanks Stone, yeah we try we are a small team of three. Doing repairs we build machines and do servicing but its mainly just locals and not online due to these sorts of issues with a small team. Like a special which blows out orders and wait times. Which is likely what has happened here, best of luck.
        Cheers
Steve Owner From Middle Park FTC - Again not associated with FTC Sunnybank or the Ebay store.

THANKS. Sad that you can find and post but nothing at all from the FTC/eBay guys!

      • This store is currently BANNED from store representative posts.
Reason: Sockpuppeting (Rep only) (Rep only) Expiry: permanent
Looks like they cant now, seems like a ban in place.

Just following up on my post regarding my 3900x order. I was advised 28th or 29th delivery, by FTC, after I lodged an Ebay Resolution Request. I still have not received my order. I sent a follow up email via Ebay and called the store number but nobody responded or answered.

  • +1

This forum post or any on ozbargain would be a really good way for them to "communicate" to lots of people easily.
A search for "ftc computers" in my google now has this ozbargain post as the third listing "A Warning about FTC Computers - Based on My Experience"

A simple communication saying "we took too many orders and Chinese New Year and public holidays have delayed us further but you will get your stuff" would probably be enough to stop most people thinking they have gone under, especially as their Ebay account is suspended so has no listings.

Their website is down again https://www.isitdownrightnow.com/ftc.com.au.html

I ordered a 3900x and a x570 Master on 16/01/2020 and it was stuck on shipping info received since the 21st.

I sent a message on ebay and facebook and have received no reply.

I have just received a notification saying a refund is being processed for the 3900x…

So this business has wasted 2 weeks of my time and it will be more before I actually get the refund.

So now I have to put a request for the motherboard and wait 3 days for them to do anything and probably over a week after that to get my money back.

This is absolutely pathetic, if they don't have the staff to manage such an enterprise then they shouldn't be engaging in it.

    No bargains had here.

    Edit:

FTC Computers have disabled the ability to message them on Facebook

    • +2

I have also just received a message saying they are processing a refund for my order. I can only hope that I can trust it more than their notification of postage.

    • +2

the CPU pricing was TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. With coupon the 3900x was $600 for the 12/24 core and elsewhere it was >$100 more with sales and coupons. I was tempted but knew it had to be hopefull pricing on a bulk order, with associated discounts and if they count generate the numbers would have to cancel and refund as is happening

      • +1

Yep, I also have had my Motherboard order refunded too.

  • +1

    I too ordered a 2080 Ti trio on 17th.
Was supposed to be delivered by yesterday, but sendle haven't received it. FTC marked it as posted on the 21st.
No replies to messages so have lodged an action through Ebay to resolve it. Not impressed.

  • +3

Just got a notification for a refund RE; the 2080 Super. No message, no information why. Nothing.

Either they're the most incompetent bunch of people around, or have been taking us all for a ride, and needed quick capital for some dodgy bullshit they're doing somewhere. Either way they can get F*****

    • Yeah I can relate, I'd rather wait and get my graphics card that I ordered rather than have money returned and sitting in a paypal account.

Did you submit something to them via ebay? They seem to be cancelling any orders when people submit requests like "I didn't receive it" via ebay rather than risk negative feedback which has already lead to them being suspended. Refunding via ebay means there is no feedback registered which is why they keep refunding people that enquire.

Their business model of having lower prices and then using ebay codes to get even cheaper is great if you can deliver the actual goods. They have bitten off more than they can chew and negative google results and forum messages are the price they are going to pay.

      • +1

I didn't send anyhting via ebay, but I sent them an enquiry after receiving the invoice yesterday(12 days after buying the GPU!?!??), asking what was going on. Absolute dodgy pricks and ebay needs to remove them from their platform.

  • +1

Purchased the 3900x as well when it was on sale. Received a notification saying that the order was being refunded after having waited nearly 2 weeks… I think they've clearly sold more than they had in stock.

Surely this is something that can be taken up with the ACCC as it seems like they may do this regularly..

  • +1

i reckon they have some ways of getting cheaper items from Hong Kong hence the usual quick soldout and delays afterwards.

  • +1

I submitted an "Ididnt receive it" action on ebay, but indicated I still wanted the GPU. Instead , without any communication to messages or the action, they just sent a refund. But it still won't clear till next week. What a PITA :(

    • +1

You’re lucky, they updated my order with a fake tracking number that showed a completed delivery to Brisbane when I’m in Melbourne. Just waiting for EBay to auto refund my money.

  • +1

Not related but they don't respond to messages about warranty, so it has been 3 months since I shipped a confirmed defective product back and they are still not responding to my messages.

  • Anyone got their 3900x yet?

    • +1

      22/1 - Ordered 3900x just after midnight

23/1 - ebay email saying it was shipped with ETA 3/2. No tracking number provided. A bit skeptical at this point, but decided to wait it out.

28/1 - received email invoice from FTC. Still skeptical.

3/2 - parcel to pick up from PO. It came through! Sent by "express post". Decently packed.

      • +1

        that's interesting.

i ordered on jan 16th, got a sendle tracking number but it was never picked up. ill wait another week if u got urs

        • Mine was scheduled to be delivered on the 23rd Jan. Got an invoice on the 28th Jan. Order never arrived.
I chased up yesterday and they have now cancelled my order.

Just got an email from paypal saying I have been refunded for $665.10.
I paid $598 so no idea if I am allowed to keep the difference. Would prefer the CPU for $598 though.

          • @valco: Yeah mine must be some crazy anomaly judging by what everyone else is experiencing.

I would be very hesitant to order from them again despite my positive outcome.

  • +1

What’s the latest point to put in none delivery claim to eBay? 3 weeks after expected delivery?

  • +1

They are fully refunding anyone that enquires via Ebay so all that you loose is a bit of your time and any respect you once had for FTC Computers.

I'm not sure anyone is still receiving goods ordered from FTC via Ebay, I guess the only people looking up this thread are those that haven't so its hard to tell. I'm waiting a bit longer before I submit a follow up with Ebay as I would like what I ordered.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/help/buying/returns-refunds/reportin…
"You have 30 days from the estimated delivery date to inform the seller that you didn't receive your item.
Once you've told them there's a problem, the seller has 3 business days to provide a delivery update, offer a replacement, or give you a refund.
It usually takes 3 to 5 business days for a PayPal refund to go through. If you paid with a credit card, it may take up to 30 days to process, depending on your card provider."

    • Just not sure if I’m being a sucker to hold out any longer, I mean obviously they could have sourced stock by now if they actually wanted to.

      Choices choices.

    • +1

      FTC just cancelled my refund

What the actual hell are they doing. I've had to open a dispute with Pay-pal now. Which means another 10 business days?

      • Thanks for posting this. I was wondering if anyone was actually getting their money back, or just emails.

I feel like I will be needing ebay to step in directly when the estimated process time elapses.

        • +1

I sent a letter of demands to FTC, and gotmmy refund 30 minutes later lmao. they tried to say, we're having trouble with Ebay. Yeah of course you are you dodgy pricks.

  • I've got the same issue. I ordered a 3700x (not the insanely priced 3900x) on 18 Jan. They almost immediately registered an australia post tracking number, but then nothing. I've tried contacting them via ebay.
I'm at the stage thah I will just cancel the order.

    • Exactly it's not like a 3700x is hard for them to source… Yeah ok it's clearly turned in to a scam this time.

    • Ebay refunded my money.

This is actually the first time that I have ever gone through the resolution/refund process with eBay. Gotta say it's pretty much frictionless.
I have now placed an order for the same item within $2 of what I paid at FTC (with Futu) - there's a Plus deal on at the moment for 20% off on AMD stuff.

Plus this one comes with a game redemption from AMD - which is nice.

Message from FTC Sunnybank this morning:

“ We are currently having issues with ebay.

If you have not received your orders from eBay, we will have your orders refunded ASAP.

If you have already opened an ebay case the refund is being processed.

If you haven't done so we recommend you to do so as we can identify your order a lot easier that way.

We are extremely sorry about the situation.”

Obviously given the fact refunds are being cancelled/unpaid that’s not helping a lot.

    • Yeah, this sure went to shit…

And according to the message, anyone still with their orders opened will be cancelled eventually.
      Terrible all around.

Waste of time, missed promos, and money in limbo.

    • How did you receive this message?

    • I got this email response too. I sent them a letter of demands and had the refund sent to me with 30 minutes after sending it. you guys should all try that too.

  • +1

I just received an email from paypal that my refund has failed as it did not clear from paypal ftc bank account…

  • +1

The cynic in me says it feels like they are using these ebay sales to raise cash.

Put a cheap-as deal up, people sign up by the truck load
Buy real inventory (not the stuff on sale)
Sell that inventory in other channels
Stall as long as possible before returning cash.
Play the system to drag it out for at least 3 weeks (Packing, posting, refunding via ECheque).
    Profit

    • +2

It's 100% what they are doing. Everything they did was to delay it as long as possible.
I sent a letter of demands and got my refund immediately. Tehre were no issues in sending the money, they just wanted to use it for other purposes. Dodgy pricks

      • Did you email it to them?

I have had refund pending since last week, but one of my refunds was cancelled yesterday. I have requested Ebay step in, but do you think I should just send a letter of demand like you did?

        • +1

Yeah they cancelled my Paypal refund yesterday (I believe due to insufficient funds), so I emailed them directly. Received a response from them within an hour of sending the letter of demand, with a screenshot of them sending me money directly from their bank account to mine (I included my bank details in the letter, with a 48 hour stipulation that they must pay me or it will go to the small claims court.). Money landed in my account at midnight.

    • Actually this is a fairly common scheme for some sellers on AliExpress too, that’s why aliexpress started a policy of not paying sellers until buyers got their goods (the money is held by AliExpress.)

  • Anyone had any luck through Ebay?
Refund cancelled. Cant call them. Dont reply to emails.
RTX 2080 super never sent, got a tracking number but the jtem was never dropped off to Sendle. Super frustrating.

    • I’m one of the ones who actually got my order shipped and reached me last Friday .

      • Lucky. I mean id prefer the item.but checked tracking just in case and still nothing.
I just hope ebay comes through with the Buyer Protection Guarentee policy.

        • The only reason why mine got shipped is because I ordered a razer chroma core x from FTC too, and they had to order it from a disty. I can confirm it’s a local disty (one of the biggest) as they left the disty invoices in my shipping box.

  • My refund via Paypal was cancelled too.
Have escalated via Ebay, and sent a message demanding immediate refund as well.

    • How did you escalate? Just send another message to Ebay via the Open Request?

      • yes, asking Ebay to intervene and via Paypal as well

  • +1

Ebay have sorted out the refund issues for me. I have already purchased the items from another store at the normal price, much faster experience.

    • Atleast i have hope. Ebay hasnt replied to me yet so fingers crossed.

    • How did you escalate? Just send another message to Ebay via the Open Request?

      • I opened the request after the estimated delivery dates had passed so the requisite time had passed since then to hit the button in the open request for ebay to step in themselves and then i received a reply within 24 hours.

When you open request it mentions being able to ask ebay to step in after a certain period of time.

  • My first two refunds cleared into Paypal today. Now I have to wait another 5-30 days for it to be refunded back to the card where it came from.

    What a screw around.

    • My refund also cleared today. Will also have to wait for the card issuer to process it. Hopefully that actually happens.

      • My refund has now gone through to my card. The inconsistency of their performance is fascinating. I knew it was a gamble trying to order from them. This time it was a loss.

  • After contacting the shop directly on Tuesday I have had a product shipped out today, and it seems this time something was actually shipped and on a different tracking number with startrack rather than sendle. Original 2070 Super card ordered was not available from distributor anymore they said but they offered upgrade to the Aorus version or refund. ETA is Thursday, but that could easily slip to Friday.

As much as I hate to say it the people in the shop and those responding to the 'info' email have actually been quite responsive. Very hard to work out what the true story of whats taken place is. Had nothing at all back from whomever monitors the eBay side of things, not since that message 2 weeks back saying there was a delay.

Anyway not counting any chickens, or cancelling the eBay none delivery claim of course, until a product is in my hand.

    • How did you contact them directly. Was it by email or phone? I have tried calling their phone number multiple times to no avail. I have also emailed them via Ebay and apart from the initial response to a delivery date that never occurred, they have not responded.

      • Initially by email to the address on the invoice from Sunnybank store, and then followed up with my order details to the address mentioned when you try visit their website,

    • I can confirm a similar experience. After reading this comment I contacted them via email and was offered a similar model to the one I ordered. I asked for an upgrade to the Auros model for the inconvenience which they were willing to do.

They were prompt in replying and assured my I'll have a new tracking number by days end.

They claimed the issue was due to factory closure in China because of coronavirus outbreak.

Not sure I buy that story but I can't see why they'd go out of their way to respond as quickly and as helpfully as they have unless they are actually going to send the card.

I definitely don't think they are following a traditional business model but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

    • The graphics card was delivered this morning after being shipped yesterday evening, all looks ok. Packaging was just the original Gigabyte box in a StarTrack satchel bag. The box has had a few knocks there and there but the card inside it pretty well packaged.

  • I contacted them via email today requesting a refund, and they said they would ship it out today. They provided me with a new tracking no and said my GPU is being sent via Go Logistics. When I looked up the courier company it looks like they only service NSW & ACT. I thought these guys were in QLD?

    • My GPU was drop shipped from NSW.

      • Ok looks like courier has delivered it to my office when i checked tracking. Not able to pick up today as i have left the office.

  • Maybe you guys are the lucky ones. I emailed the "info" address from their website about my 3900x order and got a response about getting a refund and to lodge it with Ebay. After reading the 3900x,$598, thread even the refunds are failing for some people.

    • Damn, I emailed them yesterday about my 3900x and mobo and they said they'd ship it before COB yesterday or thus morning. I'll wait and see, no tracking # ywt

      • all my parts arrived today, ordered on jan 16th

  • I ordered a Gigabyte 5700XT on 15/01. It was supposedly shipped on 20/01 to be delivered on 22/01 but there was no shipping number. It was actually shipped by TNT on 28/01, the same day FTC emailed me an invoice, with the GPU out for delivery on 31/01.

The packing was just a box with the video card box inside and no foam of air bags. Slight external damage to both boxes but the video card was ok. Installed and works fine. No evidence that it was a refurbished or second hand model.

Overall it was a pretty poor experience, mostly due to the lies of the fake posting / delivery dates and the resulting stress wondering if it the video card would actually arrive or I’d have to fight for a refund off eBay. I would have been happy to wait the 16 days for delivery but FTC made it unnecessarily difficult with the fake shipping dates. I probably wouldn’t order through them again.

    • If they were more transparent about stock and expected delivery times they would get less complaints. As you i was happy to wait longer however they made it harder on themselves by dishonestly marking items as sent with fake tracking, and zero comms.

  • Well it's been more than three weeks since I ordered a 3900x from FTC computers. I only received a fake tracking number. It was supposed to arrive on the 22nd of January. They advised me via an Ebay email later it would arrive on the 28th/29th. They never even bothered to lodge a refund for me like they did for some other people.

  • People need to start lodging complaints with NSW fair trade. If more people had done that last black friday people now wouldn't be screwed.

  • my parts finally arrived today, took a while but i got them!

    • Out of interest what did you end up successfully getting from them

  • Never again with FTC seriously, I had 2 orders with them and both never got delivered. When they refunded me both refunds fell through…
Now I had to file 2 disputes with ebay and paypal to get my money back

  • Just an update. After waiting the Paypal required response times, they forced a refund from FTC.
Cleared on 17 Feb, so have a months interest and time lost on this. Never again.
