[Switch] Switch Ring Fit Adventure $119 @ JB Hi-Fi

910

$119 is not the lowest in history but as it's mostly on back order or out of stock in other stores, I thought I'd post this since it's available now and looks to be cheapest available for people like me who have been waiting for weeks for this to be available again. Next lowest price I can see is $125 and won't be shipped for a couple of days.

Big W has it the same price in a bunch of stores.

    • Ohh not much luck here. Just did a couple of searches north and south side of Brisbane and all of of stock for Big W.

      • Ive got stock in 7 stores nearby nsw.

        • Can't find any in nsw… Which stores are you seeing them at?

  • +3

    Is this worth getting?

Great game, I picked it up yesterday and have been loving it so far. Definitely gives you a good workout while maintaining motivation and keeping things fun at the same time.

  • Why is it out of stock in many places? Nowhere locally has it for me.

    • Because its incredibly popular

  • Four available at Dandenong (VIC) Store as of this afternoon after I purchased mine.

  • +3

I'm gonna pick it up when it's like in an op shop or something

    • +1

I did see that ring device at Savers. I gave myself a chuckle cos I immediately thought of ringfit

      • It's funny, not saying it's a bad game but all the soccer mums will get tired of it and give it away like all that wii crap you find in op shops

        • +2

Wii Fit is 12 years old. If I can get 12 years of use out of this then I’d say that’s good value, right?

  • 124.9 just bought from EB…

    • +6

You should have asked for a price match

    • +1

Someone needs to hand in their ozbargain licence

  • I picked it up last week, they’ve been out of stock for a while, great game if you’re interested in exercising at home.

  • Seems like everyone has a new years resolution to lose a few kilos (myself included)

    • +4

I also have the resolution to buy fancy plastic rings…for $120, lol. Off to the park with me, it's free and I'm motivated. :D

  • +3

Great game but wonder if it'll lose its novelty appeal after a few plays…

    • I've been doing it for 70+ sessions since it launched, lately I've been doing it every 2-3 days but still trying to maintain the exercise

      • Any reported weight lose yet?

          • +2

@Diji1: Wrong. Exercising builds muscle which in turn increases your metabolism in addition to many other health benefits. Yes to lose weight you have to control your food intake, but just decreasing your food intake without exercising is very unsustainable and does not fix the internal issues caused by being overweight.

          • +1

@Diji1: Are you a nutritionist or something? You seem to consistently have a strong controversial input on almost food and exercise post/comment around.

        • +4

I'm not using it to lose weight, moreso gain strength (I use silent mode to avoid sweating & too much movement). Definitely seeing muscle improvement & its helping me with balance

  • just wondering, do you actually get a physical game? Or is it a download from the store?
If you have the ring, can you just download the game on another switch to play?

    • Physical copy only, no digital option on eshop

  • Amazon has got the same price. Delivery free for Prime members. BUT.. “Usually dispatched in 1-3 months”.

    • I ordered it from Amazon a few days back and it says delivery between 29/01 and 05/03

  • Recommend if you want to hurt for a few days.

  • Has anyone actually lose some weight?

    • Tried it once, destroyed me but I'm unfit as they come.

      • +16

Nope… Weight loss happens when your input is less than output. Diet and physical activity make the two parts of that equation. You can shift how much you do with either (i.e. diet only/exercise only/combination), at the end of the day a Calorie deficit will result in weight loss.

    • The actual Ring Fit accessory sends telemetry data to the Joy-con.

    • Most likely wouldn't work.
However, there are bootleg ones though on Aliexpress.
But there is no way to get the game seperately (unless someone lists a second hand one somewhere).

      • there are bootleg copies of the game to go with the bootleg ring. but the bootleg rings look crappy

        • I was looking at getting a spare but for $70? No way.

    • The ring and strap, yes.
      What about the game itself?

  • Better or worse than the Wii fit?

    • +5

Based on research prior to purchasing this, this game actually makes you exercise where as the Wii Fit was fairly tame with the exercises you did with it.

      • +2

I used Wii Fit back in the day and some exercises (boxing in particular) were definitely a good workout

    • +1

Wii Fit was more yoga than anything else, this is a real close-to-gym styled workout with yoga on top

  • +2

Funny enough I was just jumping on to see if this had come down at all. I'm a pretty big fella so I think I'll just grab it now.

  • +1

price match a local ebgames and couple with 8% off gift card from suncorp app to bring it down to $109.50

  • -1

    Will get when it's $49

    • +1

Yea also waiting. 120 is ridiculous

    • +2

You will be waiting a very long time. Nintendo is not big on discounting, particularly for current gen

      • -5

If this is the next big game you have to play next and your library is zero. Go for your life.

But I have 678 games to go before this, I can wait 👌

  • +2

    Thanks OP! Got one !

Ring in the new year! This one runs rings around the competition. If you like it, put a ring on it! And I'm spent…

  • Page has been taken down and now 404.
