        hmm I handled both models. also check reviews, lenovo is dual cooler design while g3 is single cooler. build quality is better on this lenovo, which is actually not saying much since g3 is rather flimsy

        although I am rather spoiled by stellar build of Dell Latitude and Precision, so maybe if you don't expect a rock solid brick feel from your laptop, both Lenovo and g3 would be fine

              How many coolers do you see? Note the longer heatsinks on the g3 vs L340. You must be smoking something pretty strong!

  I'll pass on Lenovo for now after this dying USB-C port debacle. The model in this deal isn't a Thinkpad and isn't on the list of models, but the way Lenovo are handling this I don't trust them to honour their warranty.

  For those that don't know there is an issue with the hardware. Lenovo have released drivers to try to prevent the issue from happening but I've read that they only reduce the chance or made the ports work a while longer. Once the ports die, you have to replace the whole motherboard. Some people are suggesting Lenovo have released the drivers to push more of the machines to die out of warranty. Some people say they have already paid to have their machines fixed at their own expense prior to this announcement.

  Be warned, this only has a single ram slot, so you can't upgrade it to dual channel.
