Who on earth would pay $600 for the lamest, Kmart quality audio brand when you could buy Sony or even Bose / Dr Beetroots for less? What a joke.

    • They sounded pretty good, but the skull crusher bass was too over for my taste. They are definitely overpriced since the all the reviewers seem to agree that the noise cancelling is not very good compared to the xm3s and the Bose 700

$600 RRP is a joke as their RRP is less than XM3 internationally. Yet XM3 RRP here is $395 and this is $600????

    • It is also at least twice as expensive as any of their other over-ear headphones.

Imagine being an adult buying Skullcandy headphones. In 2020. For $440.

I really liked their Aviator headphones a few years back. Super comfy earpads and a wide flat headband made them very enticing but the lack of ANC kept me away.

When even the OP doesn't want the product, you know you should stay away.

    XM3s > All Over-Ear ANC Headphones.

    • For ANC, yeah. Sound quality? Hell no. And don't forget the inability to switch between multiple devices.
I like my XM3s, but I prefer using my other headphones.

      • Sound quality? Hell no

Yeah, hence why I said ANC headphones, not just any over-ear headphones.

Although I suspect a majority of people complaining about the XM3's sound quality aren't even using them over a high-bitrate LDAC connection with decent quality lossless formats.

Most people seem to think that streaming low-def YouTube videos ripped from lossy sources over SBC equals bad sound quality; which is like listening to a 24Kbp/s MP3 file and blaming the headphones for the poor sound reproduction.

When used with a 990Kbp/s LDAC codec and some equalizer optimisation while streaming some high-res FLACs, the XM3s sound a lot better than people give them credit for and certainly nothing like a pair of $100 dollar headphones.

And don't forget the inability to switch between multiple devices.

Doesn't bother me at all personally as I virtually never have a need to connect to more than one device at a time but the XM4s will probably support multiple devices over Bluetooth.

They're still not better than other ANC headphones.
Unless you mean ONLY in the ANC department, in which case yes, I think they're the best.
There are much better ANC headphones out there for sound quality.
I think the XM3s are a great all-rounder, but I prefer pairing my Momentums via a Creative BT-W2 for APT-X support on iOS, or using a USB DAC on my SB2 (I still prefer cabled audio even over APT-X and LDAC)
