10% off with JANE10 at Travel with Jane.

I have no prior experience with this insurer but it is one of the very few that covers pregnancy up to 33 weeks with an add-on.

“Travel insurance that covers the gender pay gap - women save 15.3%”

What absolute gimmicky rubbish. I’m not paying not to subsidise costs for women.

Just did a quick price comparison v insureandgo and these “travel with Jane” muppets were priced almost 15% higher for the same cover.

    • Sexism is not a deal.

      • You’ve received two downvotes for that comment. It’s funny how some people are fine with sexism so long as it suits their agenda.

    Sexism goes two ways.
Imagine the outrage if this was the other way.

  • Better if Jane took more than 10% off.

Sexism aside, this insurer is one of only a few (if any) to include cancellation cover for travel restrictions imposed due to the cornavirus, as long as your desitination is not designated as DO NOT TRAVEL on smarttraveller.org.

    Thanks for posting OP.

Trip Cancellations: you’re not covered if you purchased after 20 Jan 2020
If you purchased travel insurance after 20 January 2020 you will not be covered for any trip cancellation claims related to coronavirus. This is due to the fact that as of 20 January, the outbreak was widely publicised, and health and travel authorities had advised that travellers take all necessary precautions. Customers purchasing travel insurance post 20 January do so in the knowledge that travel may be impacted by the coronavirus.

      • Hmmm, interesting. Check out my correspondence and let me know if you think I've interpreted it wrong:

Hello, im heading to Mauritius in March. Could you please confirm whether or not your overseas basic policy includes cancellation cover due to imposed travel restrictions (I'm concerned about the cornavirus)

        We understand your concern.

Are you wanting to cancel a portion of your trip and claim for the associated costs due to news of the Coronavirus outbreak?

As Mauritius has not officially been banned as a travel destination, if you were cancel the trip now it would be deemed a 'change of mind' in this situation. As a reason, 'change of mind' is not supported by cancellation claims. We only support claims if the destination you are visiting is designated as DO NOT TRAVEL by the Australian Government on smarttraveller.org.

Please get in touch via chat or email if there's anything else we can assist you with.

reads if you cancel because the country is Do Not Travel then it is covered anything else won't be (coronavirus is deemed as change of mind)

          • @bobbinbrisco: Yes I think that is the case with all of them.
