Citizen Eco-Drive Sapphire Chronograph Made in Japan USD $125.95 (~AUD $186) Shipped + More @ Dutyfreeisland

130

Great price for an Eco-Drive model with Sapphire glass plus chronograph feature. I couldn't find cheaper anywhere else.

"It is a brilliant watch, very beautiful, light weight, black leather strap and eco-drive. Dimensions are just right for me with width at 40mm and depth at 10mm. It is so comfortable to wear that one even forgets that he is wearing a watch. Unlike metal straps, which continuously keep making clicking noise while working on a computer, this watch has a leather strap, which is very light weight (weight is under 60 gm) and doesn’t make any noise. The watch looks extremely beautiful. Its black dial looks very elegant sitting inside the light golden crown. It doesn’t look very loud and silently makes its classy point. I find it just the right watch to be worn during office hours and also during informal occasions."

Features:

  • Eco-Drive Technology (Recharged by any light source; Never Needs a Battery)
  • 1 Second Chronograph (Stopwatch) up to 60 Minutes
  • Accuracy of +- 15 Seconds Per Month
  • Calendar (Date Display)
  • 24 Hour Display
  • 6 Month Eco-Drive Power Reserve
  • Quick Start Function
  • Insufficient Charge Warning
  • Overcharging Prevention Function
  • Luminous Hands and Markers

@sammas: I just bought the watch because of this post and was about to thank OP for posting because it seems like a good deal… then i see this about free stuff on top of it… Can i get in on some of that please OP.

            • +2

@igordennis: Yes, it is a very good price for these models I mentioned.

No worries, just answer your order email or email them directly with your order number and coupon code/nato strap information saying that you didn't add the nato strap coupon code while buying but would like to get it with your order. Do it as soon as possible before they send your order.

              • @sammas: Thanks mate, i just replied to the order email explaining the situation. Hopefully they add the strap to the order and I don't miss out on free stuff for buying too fast..

                • +1

@igordennis: Situation like yours has happened before and as long as the order was not sent
(they are back from holidays tomorrow) it was all fine. So no worries.

@sammas: Hook….. ummm strap us up!

    • I bought a watch from them in Dec 2014 .. no issues. You should delete your false post.

EDIT: Retract my previous post, i was obviously mis informed and jumped the gun before doing proper research. Just about to place an order :) Cheers OP

Citizen Eco Drive series is one of the best (if not the best) solar quartz watches out there. Plus sapphire glass and Japan made movement at this price is a terrific buy.
If you do fork out extra money for radio controlled + perpetual calendar, you will basically have an atomic time+date watch that never needs charging aka the perfect smart watch that does exactly what a watch should minus all the distractions.

  • Is free delivery via Australia Post?

    • Yes, and arrives in 7 to 10 working days. Also no taxes charged.

  • How is the $174 calculated .. using what conversion method ?
Normal Paypal checkout shows $194 ?

    • +1

Yeah a bit confused now. USD125.95 is AUD186.4 and showing AUD194.37 if paying AUD. How do we get AUD174? @sammas

    • Yeh mine says $161.50 in cart AUD, when I go to PayPal it now says $180.48 for the Citizen Eco-Drive AT2136-87E

    • The price is in USD and the website display other currencies for reference only and Paypal handles the exchange rates. Depending on your bank I would suggest to pay in the original currency and let your bank do the exchange

      • The title price is a bit misleading then.. Should be USD $125.95 (AUD $186) Shipped

        • When I used to post in this way you mentioned I was told to always put the AUD first. The AUD value depends of the daily rate, from Paypal or your bank so it's not possible to know exactly. I totally agree with you, from now on I will mention the currency information on the post description.

          • +1

            @sammas:

I was told to always put the AUD first

I don't know who gave you that misleading instruction.

            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:deal_posting_guidelin…

For deals in other currencies, please include both the original currency and the $AU equivalent in the title (if space allows)

Put the price in original payment currency in the title and the converted AUD price in brackets if space allows. If the web site allows for either currency then use the lowest price. To convert to AUD, simply use the rate quoted by Google (Morningstar rate).

      • The website was struggling to finalise payment, gave up on it. Just went to purchase and the watch I wanted the Citizen Eco-Drive AT2136-87E is now sold out :(

        • I'm sorry to hear that. These products have a great price and go sold out quickly.

  • Any Special Deals on the Citizen Watch BU0054-52L Calendrier?

    • +1

This model is awesome! I'll check if it's possible to add to the catalog.

  • OP just checking if i am looking at the citizen T2425-80H, which nato strap size (20 or 22mm) should i go for? thanks.

    • Unfortunately, I cannot find the lug size at this moment for this model :/

      • oh, if i choose the 22mm one and it doesnt fit this watch, can i change it?

        • Unfortunately no because it's a free gift given. You can ask directly the store to check the lug size of the product and they will answer as soon as possible.

great looking watch, good price when comparing, but after paypal the price is not $174 AUD. However I still bought it, price on my cc will probably be roughly $190 AUD

  • Splash resistant? Most watches nowadays come with at least 50m WR

  • this is just my experience but the last watch i got from them was defective and stopped randomly and the warranty process was a nightmare.

I ended up getting PayPal to sort it out. I had video of the watch stopped in full sun. (it was and EcoDrive)told them i set the correct time and fully charged the watch before sending it back included a video of that also when they got it back the time was wrong. yes i said because it randomly stops. reply from them no fault found would you like use to return the watch to you. no i said it is faulty i do not want it back.
Several emails later and just the same response over and over again.

As a comparison I had an issue with a watch i got from Starbuy sent them an email with video again and pics they had a new one in the post the next day.

example 2 i got a watch from LongIsland watch it randomly stopped again sent a video and pics again watch was replaced within a 10 days from the US.

fyi i have around 70 watches in my collection the wife has around 20 and my daughter has over 14 now.

again just me experience its all great until something goes wrong

    • I'm sorry for your experience. Would you mind sending me the order number to check what happened? Thanks

      • no problem here you go 100107476 here is the ticket info also [#KRM-68074] AW1360-04E keeps stopping

  • .. How do you buy from this website? I don't see anyway to add anything to the cart lol..

    • it states

WE WILL RESUME SHIPMENT AND ACCEPTING ORDERS ON FEBRUARY 3, 2020.

      • Ah yes. That wasn't there when I posted.
